The cottage was lovely. Clean and tidy inside and also comfortable. The views are amazing. The garden is completley enclosed which was great for our dog as there are sheep all over the place. I highly recommend the cottage and would love to go back again.

This property was everything we could have asked for and really felt like a home away from home. It was very well equipped with everything we could possibly require, I have already recommended this cottage to friends.

Hill Cottage is so lovingly restored, set in a peaceful surroundings and with lovely furnishings. Lots of books, games and DVDs,(didn't have time to play them as time passed so quickly) Snowed off and on the first two days, the Cuillin's looked amazing. The weather improved for rest of week. Skye is a beautiful isle, I am from there originally so it was nice to go back, my friends who came with me had never been before and loved it. We would recommend Hill Cottage.

Have stayed in many holiday cottages over the years, and this is definitely one of the best appointed. The attention to detail was amazing and much appreciated. The quality of the kitchen equipment was impressive and totally unexpected. The location is ideal, you get to explore the entire island and the views were incredible.

Hill Cottage is a perfect wonderful cottage. Everything was provided and it was in peaceful surroundings. Had a high standard of furnishings, lots of games, books, the WiFi was great and there were different varieties of DVD. We were all happy, had a very relaxed break and the owner provided everything we needed. The location is great to travel around Skye, and there was a beautiful view of the mountains and the Sea. I truly recommend Hill Cottage to everyone who would like to visit Skye, we loved it!

Hill Cottage was a super place to stay. The location in Dunvegan was excellent, being only a short walk away from the shop, pub and a little further on, the excellent Old School House restaurant and bakery. Hill Cottage itself is a lovely cosy warm cottage which is well furnished. We would have no hesitation in returning and recommending.

The house was absolutely immaculate - it felt like we were the first people to have ever stayed there. It was extremely well equipped - they had thought of everything. There were some very thoughtful extras, such as fresh bread, milk and a freshly baked cake, as well as dishwasher tablets, laundry tablets, DVDs, books, maps, games etc. Would happily stay there again and would recommend this cottage to family and friends.

Hill Cottage is an excellent centre for exploring the northern part of the Isle of Skye. There are shops within easy reach for buying your newspaper, bread, milk etc. without having to travel to Portree every day. The house is immaculately kept with every amenity you could reasonably want and is very comfortable. On arrival we were provided with fresh bread, milk, tea and coffee and a beautiful home-made Victoria sponge cake which as a welcoming gesture takes some beating! I spoke to the owner a few days before our departure and he was very friendly and helpful with regard to directions to find the property - all in all we could not have had a better holiday.

The Isle of Skye is truly a little bit of heaven. The sun started shining on the Tuesday evening and then we had the most outstanding views from the Cottage. I have stayed in many self catering cottages over the years but have never found a cottage so well equipped. In particular the kitchen had everything that was needed. We were a little anxious about where to get food to stock up the fridge, but need not have worried as there is a very big Co-op on the outskirts of Portree that is open on Sunday, I was able to stock up for the week and not worry again. There is only one word to some up the Cottage and the holiday - FANTASTIC! My only regret is that we didn't book for two weeks!

The cottage has been done up, furnished and equipped to such a high standard that it was an absolute pleasure to stay there, and return to after a day out. It is in a lovely setting with wonderful views of Macleod's Tables, and Dunvegan is an ideal base for exploring the Isle of Skye. We had a brilliant time, and thoroughly recommend Hill Cottage.

We thought the Cottage was fabulous. It was furnished and equipped to a very high standard. We thought the cost of the cottage for the week was excellent value for the standard of accommodation. We will definitely be considering rebooking this property in the future and would recommend it to others.

We were looking for a restful time in a comfortable cottage and our experience absolutely exceeded our expectations. This property was exquisite with everything to make our holiday wonderful. The beauty of Dunvegan in the Spring is breath taking. A great place to launch out to explore the Isle. When we go back to Skye, we will be sure to stay at Hill Cottage. The owners are very kind and accommodating. We will be sure to recommend this cottage to friends, family, and anyone we meet!

Where do I begin?! We knew we would love the cottage by your excellent description and photos, but, we did not expect the high level of luxury with high specification fixtures and fittings. Everything was top end, duvets, linen, crockery, cutlery, everything was stunning. The welcome we had was quite overwhelming. I could go on and on but suffice to say we loved our holiday!

The cottage was perfect. Everything was brand new and spotlessly clean. Wonderful setting and views. Never been in such a well equipped kitchen and everything top of the range. Sky plus and internet all worked easily and great selection of dvds. The owners were very friendly and helpful.

A gem of a cottage from start to finish. The highest of quality decor throughout. The standard of all the facilities is one of the highest we have ever experience. Everything you could possible need is in this cottage, from bluray to wifi, books, games, DVDs, blurays, cutlery, crockery etc. There is nothing the owners haven't thought about. The views from the cottage are lovely and great location for travel around Skye. The fresh bread and homemade Victoria sponge on arrival was a nice touch. We would definitely recommend staying here it truly is worth a visit.

Hill Cottage has been lovingly refurbished to a very high standard. From the luxurious towels to the home-baked cake welcoming you on your arrival, this holiday home has been well thought out and is charmingly delivered. There are DVDs, a multi-fuel stove, board games (including a beautiful chess board), a cloakroom for damp coats and messy shoes, beautiful crockery, comfy beds and to top it all it was absolutely immaculate! Highly recommended!!

Fabulous cottage - immaculately clean, superbly equipped and really hospitable owners. Every detail and comfort was considered - fire was laid, fuffy towels, laundry liquid, dishwasher tablets, fuel included in rental etc. There was even a freshly baked cake, loaf of bread and bottle of milk left for our arrival. Weather was pretty stormy when we were there, and the cottage felt secure and cosy. It was lovely to come home to at the end of a day's adventuring. Dunvegan is a great centre for exploring the Island and I couldn't recommend this cottage as your base, enough.

This property is without doubt one of the best we have experienced, it actually says what it says on the tin !. The owners show an obvious pride in the property and its family history. We had a wonderful relaxing week there, one fault though, we had to leave !

Travelled with grown up family members. Cottage was spotless and amenities excellent. In a great location. We spent most nights outside looking at the scenery and watching the local wildlife. A couple of nights we watched owls swooping over the adjacent field and enjoyed the acrobatics of the local bats. A visit to Tallisker Distillery is highly recommended and we had a fabulous langoustine and chips at The Oyster Shed. The scenery at Neist Point is breathtaking. We all fell in love with the Isle of Skye and will definitely be visiting again.

We stayed at hill cottage, 4 adults and 2 children. The cottage is beautiful in a stunning location, perfect for exploring Skye and a short walk to the shops and restaurants in Dunvegan. The cottage was immaculately clean, it had everything and more than we needed and Donnie G was great to deal with and very friendly. We'll definitely return. Lots of lovely surprises await your arrival !

Hill Cottage is one the best self catering cottages I've rented. Spacious, well-equipped, all mod-cons, extremely comfortable and warm. Wood burning fire will plentiful supply of wood was welcomed. The owners have thought of every comfort. The homemade bread and cake was delightful. Location - perfect, just outside Dunvegan so easily walkable to town and restaurants. Overall, couldnt recommend enough.

This cottage is beautifully furnished and is one of the only cottage that we have stayed at that even had a set of good kitchen knives. It is comfortable and cosy with everything you need if the weather turns against you, even down to great wi-fi. It is exactly as described and we don't think that anybody could be disappointed. The owners had left a fresh loaf of bread and a sponge cake for us which is a really nice touch and was delicious. The area has fantastic scenery and nice places to eat, we really liked the Three Chimneys at Colbost. If you want to go to Skye and want to be based around Dunvegan, book this cottage..........................!!
