The owners were fantastic. The garden is totally dog friendly. Lovely big kitchen which seats seven adults easily.

An amazing place to stay. The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful and couldn't have made us feel more welcome, including our dog who had the time of her life. I'd wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone.

This was the perfect getaway. A really cosy and comfortable cottage set in an idyllic part of the Isle of Wight. The owner had gone to the trouble of putting up and decorating a Christmas tree for us, and there was a generous welcome pack on our arrival. The cottage has bags of character and has been tastefully decorated. I would highly recommend it to any of our friends, and look forward to returning.

A delightful, characterful, thatched cottage in a quiet location less than 1 mile from the sea, across fields and quiet lanes. Riding available, though you do need to book early. Very dog-friendly garden (complete with kennel) so if the party are going somewhere the dog isn't allowed it can be left safely in the garden with shelter if it rains.

Fantastic location and hosts - kids loved going to the stables and playing with the dogs and seeing the horses (even after 2 rides!) Great walk to the beach. The photos do not do it justice - thanks to all.

The cottage was one of the best equipped that we have stayed in, and extremely comfortable. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly when we spoke to them.

Beautiful cottage; very comfortable. Owners were very friendly and kind. They had put a welcome package in cottage of tea, coffee, milk, sugar, and squash which we thought was a lovely gesture and much appreciated, Our family live on the island and came to visit and were also very impressed! I would highly recommend.

The cottage was absolutely fantastic, and the welcome pack a lovely surprise. We cannot praise the owner and her family enough. All were friendly and welcoming, took time to show us around their stables, but did not interfere at all. We would all highly recommend this cottage as a holiday home, and would definitely go again. Well situated, very very pretty, comfortable, homely and welcoming. Thank you all for a wonderful holiday.

Accommodation was excellent, spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Good location and ideal for riding holidays. Also really appreciated the complimentary refreshments on arrival and the real flowers, a very nice welcome touch to make us feel immediately at home.

The cottage was just as we'd hoped; clean, warm and cosy. The owners were friendly and helpful and our children particularly enjoyed the horses and dogs' puppies. Would definitely go back for a return visit.

Great price and a good location. An excellent cottage with good clean facilities and very helpful owners. A great family cottage with really thoughtful touches, particularly the welcome pack of milk, tea, coffee, biscuits etc. A really enjoyable stay, without complaint.

We received a good welcome from the owners upon arrival, and they also acknowledged us whenever we met - even when they were on horseback in the village. The property was exactly as expected (probably better), was comfortable, peaceful and out of the way - in the countryside as expected but not too far from the amenities and a great location to go out and explore. This was our first visit to the Isle of Wight and will certainly not be our last. We have found our base!

We had a lovely week staying at Hill Farm. The accommodation is very comfortable an excellently equipped with everything you could possibly need (right down to a selection of essentials provided awaiting our arrival saving us the bother of that chore of first trip being to the local supermarket !) The owners are a family who live in the adjoining building and were very warm and welcoming to us and felt like friends right from the off. My wife and daughter made good use of the riding stables next door (owned by same family) and they arranged some fantastic rides for them. Our daughter took a real shine to Sybil the horse and to Jess (riding instructor and daughter of the farm owners) We took our 2 dogs with us. The garden is large, private and secure so was perfect for them too. The area is really nice too. Situated at the quieter end of the island, overlooking lots of countryside in one direction and the sea in the other direction. Couldn't have picked a more suitable place to stay and will certainly be looking to return in the future. Everything was top notch ......... The house, the people, the area and the atmosphere ...... plus, Mr Biggs ..... The most adorable springer spaniel you could possibly ever meet !

Welcoming, homely cottage with loads of character. Friendly helpful owners, but not interfering. cannot fault any part of the cottage or the grounds. Well within reasonable distance from all major amenities. Loved it, can't wait to go back. Highly recommended.

Need a quick weekend escape? Need a wonderful old style cottage with all modern amenities? Need nature all around you? Then this is the place! What a wonderful weekend we had with a group of friends. A 20-30 minute walk to beach, town, pubs and grocery stores. This cottage was one of the best we've ever stayed at. The cottage was cozy and warm and wonderful to spend time cooking, playing games and relaxing. The owners next door were super nice and own a horse riding business which we took advantage of.

The cottage was in a convenient, quiet position surrounded by open countryside. The owners who lived next door were pleasant and helpful. It was good to be able to take both of our dogs - many seem to allow only one.

The family from the riding stables were friendly and welcoming. The garden was a lovely space to sit in, and with dogs was very good and secure. We will definitely go back in 2017.
