Holiday home Unverre description

Situated at the end of a quiet country lane just 2km from the village of Unverre, this characterful half-timbered cottage exudes olde worlde charm. The original wooden beams and exposed stone walls help to provide a rustic atmosphere. Guests have use of the grounds with a barbecue and pétanque court. Further afield the region is most famous for Chartres Cathedral, noted for its 13th century stained glass windows and the Perche Regional Park; home to the famous Percheron breed of heavy horses. In Illiers-Combray, is the house where Marcel Proust spent his childhood summers. The house is adjoining Pré Catalan garden, which is now a museum with exhibitions about the famous writer.
