In a lovely, very quiet residential area. A very homely well laid out spacious bungalow which was good value for money. We enjoyed eating dinner in the conservatory. It was convenient for supermarkets and roads to get to attractions around Suffolk.

All that we could have hoped for in a winter holiday home more, so much so we hope to return in the summer months to appreciate to the full the conservatory garden. Everybody remarked on how warm welcoming the bungalow was. Indeed our hosts are to be commended for providing maintaining the accommodation to such a high standard throughout, for being so kind helpful.

Had a lovely week at Hornbeams, was like home from home everything you could think of was provided. The bungalow is in a peaceful cul-de-sac setting. We managed to travel to many places:- Felixstowe, Clacton-on-Sea, Ipswich by the local bus, and on the way home visited the Abbey and Abbey Gardens in Bury St Edmunds which we would recommend, lovely garden, avery and play area for the kids and all free.

We enjoyed the fact that the owners were close and that there was transport available, plus a good pub with food within walking distance. In this property was a room I could listen to music in, and a space to read - it suited us well.

Property was exactly where we wanted to be and well appointed and clean. Everything worked. Particularly liked the conservatory.

April 2011
We found the bungalow spacious and well planned out. There were three areas to relax in. A sitting room with large digital TV, a study with music system and large bookcase of books and a conservatory overlooking the garden. The bed was very comfortable and the room tastefully decorated. We loved the underfloor heating in the shower room. The kitchen was well designed with plenty of storage and very well equipped. The bungalow was situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in a village with easy access to Park Ride for Ipswich and an A road network for easy drives to numerous places of interest. We had an excellent meal at the Indian restaurant in the village. We would certainly like to come back again.

We're old hands at self-catering accommodation, none have been better than Hornbeams. The standard of the accommodation; the village facilities in Bramford; the hourly bus into Ipswich; the service from Sykes Cottages.

We stayed here in the heatwave which passed for the summer of 2010 and we felt very much at home. We have self catered for many years and can honestly say that this is one of the best properties we have stayed in. The cool, cool floor of the conservatory was very welcome and sitting out in the well tended garden was good when the sun went down. Everything was well thought through by the owners and the small touches, for example wooden coat hangers, were lovely just the sort of things you're used to at home that you don't always find in holiday accommodation

We enjoyed our stay at Hornbeams in Bramford. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. The sun room and back garden were especially nice. The location was perfect for our planned activities for day trips to places such as Bury St.Edmunds and Lavenham, Also, my wife's mother lives in Ipswich and Hornbeams is just a hop and a skip away. The cul de sac was also very peaceful. We highly recommend this property and we plan on a return trip to the UK in a few years and this is where we plan on staying.

The owner gave us good directions and the home was very clean and very well decorated and lovely and had everything we needed. The area is very quiet and close to main towns which is what we wanted. It had a few shops about ten minutes walk away which was ideal. We liked the house very much. The only thing we didn't like was the weather!

(Sorry this is so late, I have been unable to download your page) We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this most comfortable home. It is extremely well equipped, and the owners opposite were very welcoming. There was plenty to see in the area, but the a14 and a12 are very busy roads!! It is not in the best position to get close to the sea - except Felixtowe (Busy!) but we needed a rest, so kept travelling to a fairly short drive each day. We did not explore Ipswich, but enjoyed the villages.
