This lovely, semi-detached barn conversion is situated in the heart of an eleven-acre smallholding, just three miles from Ross-on-Wye. This property has been beautifully renovated, seamlessly mixing the charm of period features with sleek, modern design. The property boasts a chic open-plan living area with modern, well-equipped fitted kitchen and a wood-burning stove for cooler nights. Beautiful area to be out and about in - cycling, walking and visiting local towns (Ledbury is a particularly pleasant place to visit). And the cottage was probably the best we've had so far. We also had the delights of the Perseid meteor shower and the Severn Bore on the same evening!

Such a beautifully decorated property and it was a pleasure to stay in. The owners went the extra mile to make sure everything was taken care of. We have stayed in cottages before and we felt like their guests rather than customers. I would highly recommend staying there.

This was our first time to this part of England and the property was ideal. Everything was as described and it is a great location for exploring the surrounding area such as Symonds Yat, the Forest of Dean and other places on the River Wye. We went cycling and walking in the area. The owner was very accommodating and all our needs were met. They even ensured we had good weather. Do take heed of the comments in other reviews about the spiral staircase and we were able to use the owner's own wifi which we were grateful for.
Mrs Mclauchlan

October 2015
A very peaceful setting, the cottage was warm and cosy. The owners were very helpful and on hand for any queries.
September 2012
This property has it all. Well appointed, comfortable accommodation combined with a lovely setting with excellent views from every aspect. The owner greeted us warmly and we were provided with a welcome pack containing local produce. The area is ideal for walkers or for exploring the area by car. I cannot think of a single way this property could be improved. However the spiral staircase to the bedroom could present problems to less mobile visitors.
March 2010
Howle Hideaway is a real gem hidden in the depth's of the Herefordshire countryside. The house has been beautifully decorated throughout to a very high standard and was a real 'cosy' place to stay as a couple. The property had a very large open plan lounge and kitchen with the bedroom on the first floor (via a quite tight spiral staircase). The owners of the property were very helpful and were willing to help out when we encountered problems with the weather (it snowed very heavily when we were there). There is also a lovely pub about a mile away which does grea food. All in all a great little hideaway for a romantic getaway from it all!
