Fantastic gem of a Cottage with good facilities which kept a family of 5 entertained for a week. Positioned on a quiet road away from the village centre but close enough to be able to pop in for supplies. I would definitely return to this accommodation which has a history linking it to the second world war.

The setting was lovely, so peaceful and private with ample parking and a lovely view down to the sea. The master bedroom was great, so spacious and had great view. We loved coming back to the Cottage after a busy day exploring. Ballycotton is a lovely area with lots to do nearby.

We liked the cottage, the surroundings, the beautiful landscape, the cliff walk, the friendly people all over, and the good weather during our stay!

Ireland is beautiful, and County Cork a lovely area, especially at this stage of the year, when it is still quite warm and largely deserted. Jack's Cottage has been very nicely refurbished, and is a lovely and spacious base for touring. The wood burner was lit on arrival, which was lovely. The Irish people were as welcoming and lovely.

A stay at Jack's Cottage could be idyllic. The location, 2 miles uphill from the village ,is delightfully rural. The cottage has been remodelled with style and imagination and is well provided with everything needed for self catering. However it does pose challenges! The HUGE bathrooms have been designed as wet rooms and they live up to the name. A shower sends water all over the special flooring which just does not dry out even though we were there in a heatwave and had the windows open always. This means a trip to the basin or loo means shoes, not always convenient in the night!

Jack's Cottage is a real gem. Although hard to find (no postcodes in Ireland!) it was well worth it. The place is huge. What you can't see in the photos are that the ceilings are really high, and the corridor from the kitchen to the main bedroom was really long. We really liked the unique style of the building, and the remoteness. It is however, on a very breezy cliff top, but you can't tell with the windows shut and once the wood burner is going. We really recommend the Ballycotton Cliff top walk and the food in the Blackbird Inn is lovely.

This property was fantastic, everything and more you would want from a holiday let. The location was just beautiful. The property was clean and immaculately maintained with lots of essentials available at the property. We have never revisited a holiday home, always saying there is more to see in the world, but for this location we are genuinely considering it.
