Area Split into two very distinct halves - The High Town and the Low Town Bridgnorth is separated by the red sandstone ridge on which the town is built. The two halves of the settlement are connected by winding streets and staircases as well as the steep funicular railway. The town itself is host to a bustling Saturday market offering an excellent backdrop against which to explore the town and examine the castle ruins. Flowing below is the River Severn, a wonderful place for scenic walks, or a trip on the Severn Valley Railway which runs between Bridgnorth and Kidderminster, using a variety of steam and diesel engines. Surrounding Bridgnorth are a wealth of country parks, great houses, museums and picturesque Shropshire villages. Also within easy reach is The Royal Air Force Museum at Cosford, Ironbridge Gorge, Shrewsbury, Ludlow and Church Stretton.
Region A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was "the quietest place under the sun" and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.
Had a lovely short break, cottage was very comfortable and we all enjoyed the fresh eggs for breakfast from the farm next door .
The accommodation was great and very modern. Ideal for a family.
Communal area ie drive and access to property nicely finished off. The accommodation was good and there was no interference from the owners.
Excellent accommodation very clean, cosy and good decor.
Rural, yet close to amenities and activities. Private garden with friendly horses in field beyond and a recently adopted farm cat who kept my feet warm at night.
The Barn was very modern, everything you needed,(home from home)
Plenty of intresting places to visit, without having to travel too far.
Fantastic holiday barn with a very high spec of fixtures and fittings. Garden was a great space. Ideal base for visiting the many nearby places of interest including Ironbridge, Blists Hill and the River Severn. Will be re-visiting and hopefully very soon!
The privacy the property offered and the location was excellent for visiting places of interest.
