The Cottage was clean, comfortable and was definitely a home from home so we left very relaxed indeed. It met all our needs and requirements and we had a wonderful holiday.

This was an excellent cottage, in a beautiful quiet location. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and felt the cottage was one of the best we have ever stayed in. The cottage and area were both outstanding and we hope to return. I would recommend this cottage to anyone.

The location was great, it had a real feeling of getting away from it all but was not far away from getting to places to do things.

We arrived in Shropshire to find the perfect holiday retreat. The cottage is far from the madding crowd but close to beautiful walks and the towns of Ludlow and Bishops Castle. The local pub was a treat, taking me back thirty years, a pint. If there was a competition for best beds in a cottage, King Grove wins hands down. They are super comfy but beware the black out blinds, I have not slept so late since I was a student. All in all this is the best holiday cottage we have stayed in with a welcome to match. Thank you.

A wonderful cottage which was well equipped, a home from home. We had a warm welcome from the owners who couldn't do enough for us. A fabulous location to get away from it all.

This was our fifth Sykes cottage holiday and the best Sykes cottage we've stayed in so far. Welcoming friendly owners. An amazing cottage in a beautiful part of the country. Some fabulous walks for all ages and fitness levels, plus plenty places to visit if you don't want to walk - national trust and English heritage properties. Loved the walks around Cardingmill valley, Church Stretton.

My partner and I stayed here on a last minute getaway from the city and we're really pleased we did! The cottage itself is next to the owners house but still feels separate and private. After driving up the country lane leading to the cottage, that truly makes you feel like you are right off the beaten track (exactly what we wanted!), we arrived. Getting out of the car you can smell the fresh air, hear the birds and the stream in the distance - we could almost feel our shoulders relaxing already! We had a lovely warm greeting from the owners on arrival, complete with a welcome of fresh bread straight out the oven (thank you!). The cottage is nicely decorated with good quality furnishings throughout and has everything you need. The kingsize bed was incredibly comfortable and the surroundings are so peaceful, I had the best nights sleep I've have had in a long time! The logburner was a real treat and perfect for cosying up in front of, with a glass of wine. I think unless you are a very good walker, I would recommend a car to get there but once you are there, you have plenty of places in reasonable walking distance. The local pub is a couple of minutes in the car and probably about a 20 minute walk (depending on your walking speed!). It is run by the local community and had a lively atmosphere. We would definitely recommend fish and chips on a Wednesday night. Overall we had an absolutely lovely stay. It was a real change of scene and very much needed. Hope to visit again soon!
