Kingsdale Head Cottage Family Cottage description

Holiday home
Kingsdale Head Cottage is a semi-detached cottage on a working farm in a country setting four miles from Ingleton. The cottage has a double and two twin rooms, a bathroom, ground floor shower room, kitchen with dining area and a sitting room with open fire. Outside is off road parking for three cars, a patio with furniture and a playground with trampoline, swing and climbing frame. Kingsdale Head Cottage is ideally placed for walking from the doorstep, for touring the Dales National Park or visiting Ingleton, or even the Lake District.

Area
The attractive village of Ingleton is nestled beneath Ingleborough, one of the famous ‘Three Peaks' on the western edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Offering a wide range of shops, pubs and places to eat, the winding streets of this pretty village all converge on a central market place. A mile outside of Ingleton and down the Hawes road are the well known White Scar Caves. Open to the public, these caves display a huge number of caverns full of stalactites and stalagmites, with one cave home to a huge underground lake. The superb ‘Falls Walk' offers an interesting circuit which takes in some of the impressive cascading waterfalls of the area whilst the proximity to both the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District make this an excellent place for walkers.

From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer?

Kingsdale Cottage is a beautiful place, very well equipped property with comfortable furniture and enough toys to keep a toddler happy.

Loved the remoteness and comfort plus the accessibility to the open moorland and sights. The owners were very friendly and hospitable. Our kids hardly missed the internet at all and we enjoyed quality family time together.

The accommodation was very good value for money and more than big enough for 6 adults. The owners were very welcoming. The cottage was in a lovely quiet location, the perfect base for a weekend of walking and cycling in the Yorkshire Dales. I can't fault anything! I will definitely be recommending to friends and looking to book a return trip soon.

A lovely setting in the Yorkshire Dales. We visited in early April when lambing was in full swing. The owners were a lovely couple and the play area for the children was a bonus.

Absolutely loved Kingsley Head it was warm and comfortable. So much attention to detail. Memory foam mattress toppers on all the beds, lovely plump pillows and quilts. A kitchen better equipped than my own with a dishwasher and even tablets left. So many lovely touches from the kind owners. The location and views were stunning.

We loved the peace and quiet of being in the middle of nowhere. The children loved the trampoline, play house and swings in the garden as well as watching the sheep. There was plenty to do nearby and we didn't need to travel far to have a good time.

Comfortable accommodation on farmland, in a beautiful location and close to plenty of walks. Recommended for anyone who likes to be away from it all and likes outdoor activities. My 12 and 8 year olds had fun on the trampoline and loved seeing the lambs and chickens all around us.

This is a truly wonderful place to stay! It has stunning views in every direction, and is perfect place to stay when visiting the Yorkshire Dales! The cottage is just 4 miles from Ingleton. The cottage is warm, homely and really well equipped; it even has a lovely log fire, and a massive trampoline in the garden. We felt so welcome and at home here - we can't recommend this place enough. We will definately be returning again soon!

Excellent aqccomodation in a wonderful location, Whernside overlooks the property. The owners are friendly and helpful, there's lots to do within esay reach yet you are truly in the wilds. One word of warning, the directions to the property talk of turning left at the first gate, this gate is the first one across the road, not the first gate to a property. There's a decent restaurant and shop with gifts and local produce where at the tee junction at the end of the road (Ingleton end) and Skipton, Ingleton, the Tan Hill Inn etc are all within easy reach; we even managed the trip to the South Lakes Wildlife zoo in the Lake District without any problems. Absolutely recommend this cottage.

This cottage is ideal for walking and for exploring the Yorkshire Dales National Park. We did the three peaks while we were there. It is also near enough to the Lake District to visit there too, we visited Kendal one day. We visited at Easter and found the cottage warm. We also used the real fire. The cottage has a small play area and a patio that we sat out on for a cuppa. Kitchen well equipped. The owners are friendly farmers who live next door and will supply fresh eggs; they also took our children (12 and 8) to bottle-feed the lambs. We were surrounded by sheep and hens. Great views across the valley. No mobile signal. Recommended!
