A lovely, little hideaway retreat surrounded by beautiful farm land and scenery and perfect for a couple. We also took our 1 year old Labrador and she was perfectly safe in the enclosed rear garden.
The cottage was lovely and we lit a fire when it was cool and that made it all cosy. It is a lovely place to relax away from any hustle and bustle. I thoroughly enjoyed the cottage and my stay there.
We loved the standard of cleanliness and furnishings in the cottage, it was just perfect. It was very comfortable. The location is great, beautiful countryside and it's a pretty area to be in.
Great property within a wonderful, peaceful location. We found the sitting room nice and relaxing in particular and we slept well.
The cottage was very cosy and comfortable. It was very tastefully furnished and very clean and tidy. It was well equipped with everything you might need. The cottage was situated in a peaceful and quiet hamlet in the Sottish Borders where you can relax to the sounds of sheep baaing, cows mooing and the calls of owls and a variety of other birds.somewhere to get away from the stresses of everyday life. Fresh eggs for breakfast can be purchased from a cool box near the village hall.
The cottage was very comfortable and the scenery lovely. I had not visited the area before and found many places of interest, for example, Floors Castle, Jedburgh and Kelso amongst others.
Had a great week at cottage, ideal base for exploring the borders, great location for dog walking, only problem could not get signal on phone! Weather was great.
The cottage is beautiful, the best I have stayed in. The location is perfect, just what was needed - peace and quiet. Will be recommending it to friends and family and will definitely be returning at some point this year.
A perfect place to get away to. We're happy to recommend and will return without doubt!
The Cottage is set in a wonderful quiet hamlet with lovely countryside right outside the door. The Cottage itself was a real cosy retreat away from the usual frenetic life of major towns and cities. We enjoyed our stay and the owners who only live two doors up made us very welcome and our two dogs felt at home. Overall I would recommend this cottage to anyone who needs a retreat to recharge from the rush of life.
