A peacefully situated cottage in very close proximity to the 3 peaks area of the Yorkshire Dales. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly but not intrusive. The cottage was warm and welcoming and had everything required for a brilliant holiday.

We had a great time at Kirksteads Barn. We did not need anything at all as all was well provided for. The owner met us and after that we did not see her at all which left us to ourselves to enjoy the property and the surroundings. The property is very clean with lovely views of the fells and surrounding countryside.

The property was perfect for our family, with a great secure family garden. The whole place was spotlessly clean and the views were stunning. Cannot fault anything. Highly recommended.

Kirksteads Barn was beautiful. It was so clean it was almost as if no one had stayed there before us! The owner was really lovely. Can't fault this place, it was perfect!

Gorgeous barn conversion. Can't fault the accommodation, everything was lovely and clean, with bags of space, fabulous views and parking right outside. Also very quiet. The Barn had everything you could need including dishwasher and separate washer and dryer. Our 10 and 11 year olds loved the big garden and we all slept well on very comfy beds. It was a lovely relaxing break and we definitely hope to return.

We have stayed in a number of self-catering properties over the years, this was the best of them all. Very clean, very well-equipped, very comfortable and a good heating system. A very high standard throughout.

This was a lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings. The open plan kitchen/living area was a great space. Our daughter loved the big garden (and the fluffy teddy that lives in the cottage!).

Kirksteads Barn was superb. Stunning setting with views of Ingleborough, beautifully clean and well looked after. Large car parking place and within walking distance of the village. The living area was perfect with lots of space, plenty of storage space in the double bedroom and a beautiful bathroom with lovely soft bath towels with a shower and bath which was a real bonus. The owner was very pleasant and helpful and this was one of the nicest cottages we have stayed in.

A lovely location with views of fields for miles. Private garden was great for the kids and barn was beautiful and well maintained. Pat was very welcoming and helpful (even put waterproof sheet on bed for our 3 year old). Lots to do in Ingleton (outside heated pool was a great hit as was the play park). Also ideal location for Lake District visit. Would highly recommend kirkstead barns

Be prepared to say WOW just as we did when you arrive at Kirksteads Barn. It is a gorgeous property surrounded by beautiful views. Open the French doors into the main living area and you are in a beautiful, light airy space with comfortable sofas and a lovely kitchen & dining area. Modern yet traditional it is decorated in a soft neutral colour scheme. The kitchen is very well equipped with washer, dryer and dishwasher as well as the usual appliances. Two steps up from the living area are the bedrooms and bathroom. Again lovely and comfortable with loads of wardrobe space. Lovely bathroom with the most amazingly powerful shower. Lovely soft towels and bright modern duvet covers and curtains. The views from the property are amazing especially the sunsets. Loads to do in the area, the barn is in easy reach of the Lakes, the Dales, Blackpool and Lancaster this area is perfect for sightseeing and walking alike. We would not hesitate to recommend Kirksteads Barn to anybody, truly superb accommodation.

We stayed here for 10 days with our 1-year-old in June 2012. The barn is beautiful - modern and spacious, warm and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen and fabulous garden. Our toddler loved running around in the open-plan space, and the owners kindly loaned us a cot and high chair. Unfortunately we only enjoyed 2 days in the garden due to wet weather. Towels and bed linen were provided, but not changed during our stay. There was a little noise from the farm and the road, and occasional noise from the owners, who live upstairs, but mainly it was very peaceful. There are excellent views of the local peaks and surrounding fields. We found it to be very practical accommodation with a toddler (so long as we guarded the steps), and so nice and comfortable that we didn't mind staying in when our young one needed to nap, or it was too wet to venture outdoors. Ingleton is about 1 mile away with some lovely local shops and pubs (the Wheatsheaf has a lovely beer garden), and a Co-op. The river runs through the town, under the viaduct and you can easily get to the Waterfalls Walk. There is a great children's playground and a market on Fridays. We also enjoyed visiting the local towns of Settle and Kirkby Lonsdale. Settle has a nice swimming pool and soft plan barn, which were excellent in the wet weather. We visited Docker Park Farm which has animals, play areas and a great cafe. The wet weather did dampen our stay somewhat, but the high standard and comfort of Kirksteads Barn provided the haven we needed and I would recommend it as excellent self-catering accommodation.
