The Cottage was in a very quiet location, which we hoped for. The welcome and service from the owners was top quality. We hope that next year we can return, and would certainly recommend it to friends and relatives, First Class.

Excellent barn conversion and a credit to the owners. Immaculate, and a great rural location and giving east access to all parts of Devon both North and South coasts which we really enjoyed. Members of the National Trust will also enjoy the many many local places to visit as we did.

The house is totally stunning, and has been renovated to a exceptionally high standard. The house is a real home from home and much more. All the rooms are decorated to a very high standard and the kitchen has more equipment than most peoples kitchens at home. The surrounding grounds again are extremely well kept and the views breathtaking. We would recommend this property to anyone without a doubt and will definitely return in the not to distant future.

We loved the grounds of the holiday home - the stables and ponies, the fields with sheep, the ability to take a nice long walk through the countryside. We loved being situated so that we could go to both Exmoor park and Dartmoor park. But we most like the owner and their family. They were accommodating, helpful, and treated us as very special guests.

The owners extremely helpful without being intrusive. The cottage was very warm and cosy to come back to after a day out. Granddaughter particularly loved the horse and ponies. Felt it was very good value.

On arrival we were made to feel incredibly welcome. The property is immaculate but homely, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. The views are beautiful, and my little girl particularly enjoyed the gardens and adjoining land. She adored the horses, geese and chickens. I would highly recommend this property, and hope to visit again very soon.

We liked the warm welcome from our hosts. High quality renovation of this former threshing barn. Fabulous views and misty morning dawns and starry nights. The horses and ponies peering into the living room window. The most comfortable beds in a holiday property yet. Real Wi-Fi that works consistently and with decent speed.

Lovely to wake up to seeing horses, donkeys and sheep and no cars. The country side was quiet and peaceful. You could only hear the sounds of nature.

The setting was lovely, the cottage was super and the overall experience quiet peaceful. However, civilisation is just around the corner or in this case down the lane so all things are possible from this location. Idyllic!

Everything was 5 star; the beds were extremely comfortable, the kitchen very well equipped and the lounge diner very lush and comfortable. The scenery was fab and the peace and quiet was heaven. The owners were very welcoming and gave great advise on where to eat. The Tom Cobley was fantastic with great food and numerous ciders to try. Highly recommend you stay here.
