I booked this cottage as a surprise holiday for my parents who are in their 60s. They both absolutely loved it and didn't want to come home! They gave glowing reports of the decor, loved the kitchen and my mum adored the original floorboards! It is also in a great location in the village to be able wander to a couple of the pubs.

The house was lovely; very pretty and had been tastefully decorated and thoughtfully supplied, having everything we needed. It was also very spacious downstairs and the main bedroom was large. It was in an excellent location, the village has decent shops for provisions and the pub we went to was really nice.

I sent my parents (who are in their 60s) to Lavender Cottage for a surprise break. They both loved it and couldn't fault it at all. They said it was well decorated, my mum adored the original floorboards and said the cottage was surprisingly spacious. It's also well located in a pretty village with a few pubs and shops. They both said they would happily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting the Peak District. Thanks so much for making my parents' well deserved break so enjoyable.

Very happy with the cottage overall, suited our needs well, and was very nicely located. Walking distance of the village, and the great pubs and shops there. Lovely bacon and pies from the Newsagents! Fantastic meals at the Pack Horse (especially the Steak and Ale Pie).
