Lilac Cottage is a beautiful cottage and due to the many attractions nearby is an ideal base at any time of the year.

Situated on the edge of the Dalby Forest is the pretty village of Ebberston. The village has a beautiful main street, which is lined with lovely stone cottages, and a pub. A stream flows through the village and down to Derwent River and the village of Yedingham, which is only a five minute drive away. The cottage was lovely, open fire, huge kitchen and the comfy beds were great. It's in such a good location, near Flamingo Land, Scarborough and lots of lovely pubs. The heated indoor pool and jacuzzi made it for us though. Having only booked the cottage a few hours beforehand, this was fantastic! Would highly recommend it to anyone.

The swimming pool and games room, we used every day with our two Grandchildren, an excellent facility. The cottage is cosy and comfortable and the location is good and the accessible and extensive grounds were a bonus. A child friendly holiday rental.

The cottage was really cosy and had lots of homely touches that made you feel comfortable. Everything was so clean, the linen smelt lovely and fresh. The swimming pool and games room were a real bonus. It was great having a pub within walking distance which served fantastic food. I would definitely return to this cottage and recommend it to other people.
