In an idyllic setting, Little Dixie was a real home from home with lovely hosts who were very friendly and helpful, but not intrusive.

The owners were very welcoming and there were kind touches. The cottage was very well equipped especially the kitchen. There were many birds at the feeding station, we spotted woodpecker, goldfinches, gold crest, coal tit and a number of more common birds.

It was absolutely perfect. It could not be faulted. The beds were comfortable and there are beautiful views from the windows. Our little dog loved the garden. The bird feeder outside the kitchen window was popular with the local birds.

It was the perfect size for us. The cottage is situated in the middle of nowhere and the views from every window are amazing. There is also a nice patio area where you can relax outside and the children loved the garden to run around in. The attention to detail provided by the owners exceeded anything else we have come across before. All in all a lovely place with easy access to exploring the surrounding area.

Wow, what a lovely welcome, such a lovely friendly couple. Little Dixie was perfect, extremely clean and well thought out. We had a lovely stay at Little Dixie with picturesque views from inside and outside the cottage. It was perfectly situated for all attractions of Somerset and further afield. We definitely will be returning to Little Dixie again in the near future, and would definitely recommend Little Dixie to everyone. We would definitely rate Little Dixie more stars than what is stated, it was perfect! Thank you so much for such a lovely holiday and everything you did for us!

The layout of the accommodation could not have been better, with fantastic views from every room - whether it was the colourful garden or the natural horizon. The local knowledge of the owner was excellent, allowing us to experience visits we would have missed.

We had a very warm welcome from the owners and they were helpful and attentive throughout our stay. High standard of cleanliness, plenty of towels, good quality bed linen and an exceptionally comfortable double bed. The views were a constant delight and the location was brilliant for us; peaceful and rural but not far away from places of interest, pubs, etc. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Little Dixie to others.

The hosts were so warm, friendly and welcoming. They made my stay with them like a 'home from home'. They shared their invaluable knowledge of the area and recommended places to visit. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and my bedding and towels were changed weekly. The views from the accommodation are second to none and I was extremely happy and comfortable staying there. I didn't want to leave!

Very nice/peaceful and a lovely tidy property. The owners were very welcoming. It was a nice surprise to see that they had laid out two mugs for tea and coffee had made two pieces of home-made cake for us. There was ideal car parking space. The cottage had everything that we needed.

The property was well situated for exploring North and Mid Somerset. The cottage was set in a rural location, remote and quiet and yet it was only minutes from the town of Bridgwater with all its amenities. The owners were exceptional in ensuring our stay was a pleasant one. They had thought of everything. The property was well furnished, decorated and extremely well equipped, it was like a home from home.

The owners have a lovely garden, they were happy for us to share and were especially helpful researching local riding stables for us; there is a folder full of useful local information including lots of walks and also information leaflets and booklets. The cottage was much more spacious than I expected from the description, with huge amounts of storage space. The bed was extremely comfortable and everything was clean and fresh. Also great views from first floor, quiet setting away from road and very interesting countryside.

The cottage exceeded our expectations, it was well furnised and extremely well equipped, the owners are next door and were incredibly helpful and friendly, without being intrusive. Paul gave us excellent directions which made finding the place easy - even though it is set back from the road. We had a wonderful week , particularly enjoyed Hestercombe Gardens, and had a lovely day in Wells, a peaceful day in Fyne Court watching some filming for Escape to the Country, we also loved Weston Super Mare. We went for dinner one evening at the Lamb Inn at Spaxton which we could recommend. All in all a fabulous week.

We have just had a wonderful week staying at Little Dixie everything was just perfect from the warm friendly greeting from Paul and Irene who live just next door and are a lovely couple to all the extra little touches - Fresh flowers and herbs in the kitchen, homemade cake which was very much appreciated after a long journey, tea, coffee milk in the fridge and chocolates and bottled water in the lounge/bedroom. Little Dixie has wonderful views of the Quantock Hills with some lovely walks to do or just sit and look at them from the lounge window or out in the garden. It is in an idyllic location a get away from it all holiday but still not far from all the main attractions. It is very clean very comfortable and we could not ask for anything more from our holiday we didn't even mind the early morning call from the cockerel! So if you want a getaway from it all relaxing holiday Little Dixie is your place to go.

Little Dixie was the highlight of our holiday! The owners gave a lovely warm welcome, there are DVDs for the television and kids games for the garden indoors. There is absolutely NOTHING that has not been provided for in this lovely cosy cottage. The standard of accommodation can only be described as IMPECCABLE. The weather was not too good during our stay, but 'Little Dixie' more than made up for it. A big thank you to the owners for such a lovely stay, and we look forward to seeing you both again next year!

We have had a brilliant week here at Little Dixie, relaxing and taking in the sights. Paul and Irene have made the cottage a warm and welcoming place to stay for us and our pets. What a wonderful welcome, greeted on arrival, cups ready for coffee, cake on the table, milk in the fridge, herb scented displays in the kitchen, chocolates upstairs and even chews for the pets, they had thought of everything. The cottage was well furnished and well equipped right down to smallest detail. The Weather was kind to us all week and as Little Dixie is well situated for numerous Somerset attractions we made the most of it. From a lovely lunch in nice surroundings at Tiffanies on the grand pier in Weston Super Mare to an extreme challenge in Cheddar climbing Jacobs Ladder. As National Trust members we also made the most of the numerous National Trust properties in the area. If we were to visit this area again we would definitely book Little Dixie. We will be recommending Paul, Irene and Little Dixie to all our friends and family. Thank you Paul and Irene for making our stay a pleasant one. Bob, Brenda and pets Sooty and Muffin.
