Little Tree Cottage description

Standing detached with its own enclosed garden, Little Tree Cottage is set in perfect tranquillity in the grounds of the owner’s home with paddocks. There are miles of quiet country lanes and woodland walks to be enjoyed right from the doorstep, and the property also makes a convenient base for exploring both the Norfolk Broads and the Norfolk Coast. Jam-packed with charm, this barn conversion has been delightfully furnished and equipped, to provide guests with a warm welcome regardless of the time of year. The property boasts an open-plan living room with a wood-burning stove, a contemporary styled, well-equipped kitchen, and being all on one level, it’s also ideal for guests that would rather avoid stairs.

The seaside resorts of Cromer and Sheringham offer wide sandy beaches and a host of attractions within a 30-minute drive. Cromer boasts a pier, a carnival week in August and, weather-permitting, a spectacular New Year’s Day celebration complete with fireworks. Sheringham is home to the North Norfolk Steam Railway, Splash Leisure and Fitness Centre and Sheringham Gardens. Numerous bird sanctuaries, salt marshes and wildlife centres punctuate the region, and popular RSPB nature and bird reserves can be found around Cley-next-the-Sea, Blakeney and Morston. Head to the seaside village of Mundesley, 8 miles, for its superb sandy beach and charming village centre. Dubbed ‘capital of the Norfolk Broads’, Wroxham provides daily boat hire, river trips, shops, waterside cafés and restaurants, making it an ideal starting point to explore the Broads, just 4 miles away from the property. Visit the market town of North Walsham, 3 miles, for its farmers’ market, shops, cafés, restaurants and supermarket.

A day trip to Norwich is a must during your stay. Just 13 miles away, the city and county town boasts a fantastic castle ’turned’ museum, cathedral, excellent shopping, a theatre, numerous art galleries, cafés, pubs and restaurants. Places of historical interest and stately homes can be found within easy driving distance. Blickling Hall boasts open-air concerts and events during the summer season. Appealing to children is Banham Zoo, Wroxham Barns and Craft Centre, Dinosaur Adventure Park at Lenwade and West Runton Shire Horse Centre. Beach 8 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
