We arrived on a cold evening to be greeted by the owner who immediately lit the fire for us and made us very welcome. A lovely cottage with a very lovely fire in the bedroom for us and the twins while our eldest toddler had her own little room upstairs with a toy basket which she loved. We have been to this area every year and always try somewhere new to stay as that part of the fun but we do hope to return here again.

We had a lovely, relaxing time. Very good to get back to nature and switch off for a while. Our boys loved playing in the woods. The owners made us very welcome and we can definitely recommend Llwynbwch Barn.

Reached down a winding track, the Barn is beautifully renovated. It's very spacious and comfortable and very well equipped, We were very happy pottering/playing in the Barn and garden, as well as exploring the surrounding area. The owners are across the old farmyard and were welcoming and helpful. The setting is very peaceful with lots to do in the surrounding area.

We spent our honeymoon in this magical place. It was everything we could have hoped for. We relaxed in the cosiness and comfort of the barn, wandered in the hills, fields and forests surrounding it, were entertained by the many farm animals freely roaming around, and made little excursions to places such as Llandover and Llandeilo for local pubs and restaurants, or Mumbles for seaside walks. Our fantastic hosts Adam and Lou, with the little ones Anja and Fin, made us feel super welcome. A little piece of paradise! Bart & Adi.

The stay at Llwynbwch Barn is worth it for the journey alone ... once leaving the dual carriageway, meandering country roads which pass through carmarthenshire villages (or brecon beacon beauties!) give way to a country lane which delves deep into the Twyi Valley, and then a true countryside driveway with gentle bumps and stunning views. The journey ends in this heavenly barn, thoughtfully converted and perfectly peaceful. Stylishly, yet comfortably furnished - the time & care put into the barn is evident at every turn. A woodburner in the bedroom was a wonderful surprise, and tempted us to bed early - when we weren't outside gazing in wonder at a sky full of stars. Lovely walks to be found on the property, and the villages and areas nearby are filled with adventures. But why leave when you have all you need here? Worth stocking up on local produce in the shops of Llandeilo - or at the farmers market on Friday mornings, just so you don't have to leave. Ask Adam & Lou for directions to explore the woods by the stream on their property,

Beautifully converted barn in a very picturesque part of the country, with lots to see and do nearby. The hosts are friendly and welcoming (and just the right mix of available but not watching over you!) and the barn is very well equipped. The wifi signal is very limited, but really, that isn't what you come to a beautiful place like this for! We would happily return.

We stayed here for a week and wished it had been much longer. The barn conversion is superb - very cosy and warm and built to high environmental standards - sheeps' wool insulation, sedum roof over the end room etc. Simply furnished but comfortable and contains all you need. Lou was very friendly and welcoming but not intrusive - a perfect combination! A couple of useful hints - the track to the barn is fine so long as you take it slowly and don't have low-slung suspension on your car. Wi-Fi is rather random but worked well enough for the week. (Why would you need anything better in such a peaceful remote setting?!) Mobile signal (Vodaphone) was good. We were welcome to explore the surrounding fields - a botanical paradise that kept my husband happy for hours :-) The surrounding area is a lovely tangle of tiny lanes bordered by trees and flowers, and there are good walks and views nearby. A bit further afield there are several lovely Nat Trust properties, plus good pubs, scenic drives, etc. I could have spent the whole week in the barn or its informal little garden just reading and listening to birdsong, but fell in love with the whole area. Wonderful!

This was our 3rd trip back to Llywynbwch Barn, and we are now seriously addicted! Everytime we come we find new things to do and see. We have been in Summer and Winter and have enjoyed being in the barn in both seasons! Waking up to the beautiful views and the complete silence is something that money just cant buy. The owners are amazing....always ready to help with directions/maps/useful tips, not to mention the supply of fresh eggs every morning for breakfast!! We enjoyed the tranquility of the garden on this occasion and came away feeling peaceful, calm and well rested! This is one of life's hidden gems, and we have now booked to return at Christmas. We are counting the days!!!

We spent an indulgent and relaxing New Year's break at the barn and can't wait to return in the summertime to experience another season here. Adam and Lou were on hand with great tips of wildlife to look out for, things to see and do in the local area, and nearby walks including y Fan which we highly recommend! The barn is cosy, comfortable, and extremely well equipped; it felt like home and we wanted for nothing. Although cosy, it is extremely spacious, light and airy. The view of the moon and stars through the skylights while cosied up by the fire is hard to beat. We can't wait to return.

We spent a great Easter weekend at Llwynbwch Barn, a beautiful place, with one toddler and a 7 year old and had a great time. We could have spent all our time at the Barn, enjoying the hot stove and going out for walks in the woods and up the hills but since we were new to the area we took advantage of the superb location to travel to the beach, the Botanical gardens and even visit Pembrokshire, all under an hour away. We were made to feel most welcome and everything worked well without any fuss. I can't recommend it highly enough.
