This first floor property can sleep two people in one double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and there is also a kitchen with dining area and Juliet balcony, a sitting room and a ground floor shower room and kitchen that are for use when using the sauna and hot tub. Outside there is off road parking, a patio with furniture and a lawned orchard area, plus there is also a barn with a sauna and a hot tub. Low Longlands is a lovely holiday base to discover the northern parts of the Lake District.
Situated just a short distance to the north east of Bassenthwaite Lake is the attractive village of Bassenthwaite itself. This charming settlement retains its traditional, rural feel and boasts a stream which winds through the outskirts of the village in addition to whitewashed Lakeland cottages, a well-maintained green and a real ale inn, full of character. Bassenthwaite Lake offers rolling hillside scenery and remains one of the most picturesque places in England. Points of interest nearby include Mirehouse - a grand home and gardens on the shores of the Lake - Trotters Farm, and Dodd Wood. Most of the attractions of the wider region are within easy driving distance whilst the quieter Northern Fells are almost on the doorstep. The towns of Cockermouth and Keswick and close by and both host weekly markets and a good range of other amenities.
