A very rustic, quirky retreat complete with beams and creaks. We loved the AGA, which keeps the kitchen toasty warm and the children loved being able to explore the garden. It was great to be able to bring the dog with us.
We loved the rural, picturesque location, the amazing age and originality of the cottage. The Aga was great and the real fire beautiful. The spacious gardens were perfect for our dog.
The property was not the most modern but this was what was so charming about it. It was very comfortable, we felt at home immediately. All of the downstairs floors were very dog friendly. The owner was very pleasant without being obtrusive. One of the best we have ever stayed in.
A lovely old cottage with a rambling garden that has been allowed to keep its character. Excellent for a quiet getaway with dogs.
We could take our two dogs and there were places to walk them straight from the cottage. It was lovely and peaceful. It had Wifi connection, 2 TV's and very comfortable beds.
The cottage was full of character and bigger than we expected, which was a pleasant surprise. It had everything we needed and more. The garden was full of natural beauty, a magical place for our daughter and her dog.
The cottage and location was amazing. The owner friendly and helpful. Plenty of space and utilities in the cottage. Dog friendly and lots of area to walk the dogs nearby.
It was a very relaxing place. The heating was very good. Was made to feel at home by helpful owner, couldn't of wished for more.
The Aga was of particular benefit as it was a rather chilly week - that was a real bonus. The owner was very helpful and provided an excellent information sheet that covered all eventualities and any questions we might have needed answering. An excellent base for seeing the Eastern and Northern parts of Yorkshire. We thoroughly enjoyed our week there!
Great base for exploring inland or north or south coast. Ideal for one, ideal for a couple and ideal for a couple with a dog.
Good location, rural but not too far out and with easy access to Scarborough and Whitby.
Step back in time staying at this lovely farm cottage complete with open fire and the Aga being at the heart of this property. Located in a quiet valley but not far away from stunning natural countryside and moorland. A great base to enjoy the stunning beauty of North Yorkshire rural communities and coastline.
The cottage was basic but we liked the country feel of everything and the setting and location were truly amazing.
