A small muster of peacocks roost in Eardisley and occasionally visit the development; guests may see the peacocks perched on a wall or railing, or wandering in the courtyard and garden.
Nestled in the heart of the pretty medieval village of Eardisley, the property is near to Offa’s Dyke and Mortimer’s Trail, and the area is also popular for cycling, birdwatching, fishing and canoeing along the River Wye. The small town of Kington is just 5 miles, with Eastnor Castle and Hergest Croft Gardens. Hay-on-Wye is 7 miles, renowned for its literary festivals, and has an array of book shops, galleries, antique shops and many bars, restaurants and bistros. Eardisley itself has two great pubs, a village shop and post office and boasts a 12th-century Norman church. The cathedral city of Hereford is within easy driving, about 14 miles. Shop and pub 500 yards, restaurant 5 miles.
