The views from the garden and the bungalow were absolutely beautiful and the location was peaceful and very relaxing. The bungalow was simple but charming and comfortable - the beds were comfy, kitchen was well equipped and the underfloor heating worked really well.

Very quiet property, tucked away out of site from any road. Nice area with beautiful views of the hills. The underfloor heating was easy to set, and kept us nice and cosy. Very happy with our stay. This is a beautiful area of Shropshire, Church Stretton is nearby, and Ludlow (lovely foodie town) and Shrewsbury (beautiful medieval buildings and river) are a short drive away on the A49. We had a lovely meal at The Bottle and Glass in Picklescott, very attentive waitress and great food.

We had been to this cottage back in 2009 so we knew that it was a very good place to stay. We decided that we will stay here again but not leave it so long!

Property very clean. Very peaceful location with excellent garden. 'The Yew Tree' in All Stretton and 'The Ragleth Inn' in Little Stretton both serve good food.

The property was very clean and comfortable and in a lovely location with wonderful views from every window. The garden was very well maintained and secluded enabling us to spend time there as we were fortunate to have good weather. The bed linen provided was of good quality and the bathroom towels soft and fluffy and of good quality. We thought the property and its location a real gem and are thinking about a return visit next spring.

Loved the peaceful location, which was also pretty. Also loved the property being detached, giving us our own space. The immediate area had many very good and reasonably priced pub restaurants. Many places to visit within 1/2 hour to 1 hour drive.

It was a generous gesture to leave a home-baked cake for us on arrival. It was delicious and much appreciated! The property was in an excellent location for exploring Shropshire. Being so close to the A49 meant it was quick and easy to travel either north or south and it was also easy to get to Ironbridge.

April 2009
Lovely setting - looking out over the local hills. Lots of wildlife in the garden - rabbits and over 10 ten types of birds. Kids loved having a big garden to run around in. They also liked going to visit the local playground. Lots to do for daytrips eg Ironbridge, Acton Scott. Cottage was sweet and comfortable and in immaculate condition when we arrived.

The location was perfect. Far enough to be left alone but close enough to walk to shops and pubs etc. The decoration was in keeping with the character of the property yet with a modern twist. The owners were lovely and very friendly and approachable. Very welcoming, comfortable and just what we wanted in a long weekend. Thank you very much for an enjoyable and relaxing stay.

We enjoyed a sunny week, Mayfield has a perfect location with various walks from the door, Church Stretton and all it's amenities is an easy walk and is the local pub which provides good home cooked pub meals. It was clean, comfortable, well equipped but not over equipped. The owner has taken into account comments from previous occupiers, we found no faults. As a couple we had plenty of space, 4 adults may find it a bit of a squeeze on the sofa and one easy chair. The garden was peaceful, not overlooked and full of birdsong. Owner provided a lovely cake and milk - we'll return.

Like the private location of this house .this is our second stay here.the only bad thing I would say about bungalow is the main bedroom smells a bit damp, but didn't put us off in any way, very cosy in all other ways, The location was great to explore Shropshire and Wales ,in spite of all the rain this year we only had one day it rained all day Missed the wecolme cake this year ,it would have been nice to have had some wee welcome even if just some milk to get a cuppa on arrival, all in all a great holiday.

A great location to stay; especially for walkers or for those who like to drive around and enjoy part of England's finest countryside. Awaitng our arival was the most delicious victoria sponge. I hope to book the cottage again for the same time in 2010. There is still so much to see - I hope to visit the site of the "Victorian Farm" next time.

A pleasant little bungalow in a very convenient location, though the cottage itself is situated down very narrow lanes. A home-made jam sponge cake was left to welcome us and it was delicious and much appreciated! There is easy access to all parts of Shropshire and surrounding areas but the cottage is extremely quiet despite its proximity to the A49. There is plenty to see and do in the area without having to drive too far, we particularly enjoyed Attingham Park and the market in Ludlow. The bungalow is well-equipped and the beds are very comfortable, but be careful when using the oven, as its design makes it easy to catch yourself when taking hot food out. One thing that was not so pleasant during our August stay was the number of flies that kept appearing in the living room and which we could not seem to get rid of. Apart from that our stay was very enjoyable and I would certainly consider using the accommodation again.

We found the cottage to be in an excellent location. Very quiet, but close enough to the amenities in Church Stretton. Local pub served excellent food and were very welcoming. Walking in the area is superb and will suit all abilities. Listening to the bird song in the garden after a days walking was a delight. The cottage was well equipped and comfortable. The only slight criticism was a that there wasn't the usual folder with information, we didn't know what we were to do about the bins for instance and there was no advice on what were the good local restaurents/pubs to eat at.

The house is equiped with underfloor heating and a multifuel burner. Facilities include a good cooker, TV, microwave, fridge freezer, and in the shed a barbeque and garden furniture.
