April 2014
Very quiet cottage to have a relaxing holiday. The cottage is very comfortable, with ample space for a family, the living room being upstairs is a good idea, giving views over the surrounding countryside. Location of the cottage was excellent, within 15 miles of a variety of places, from the beaches at Bamburgh and Holy Island, to the fishing port of Eyemouth, with a good selection of shops at Berwick Upon Tweed. Northumberland and the Scottish Borders have some of the country's best unspoilt places to visit. For those interested in history a trip to Flodden Field is a must.

September 2013
A really beautiful cottage, modern, spacious and tastefully decorated. The multiple bathrooms were a bonus with 4 adults in our party, and the underfloor heating was divine. We liked the enclosed garden. It was nice and warm on an evening with the heating. It is our second time in Northumberland, it has so much to offer. Would definitely like to come back to this cottage.

We booked no4 and no5 for a family holiday comprising of 7 adults and 3 children. The excellent large kitchen table in no4 sat us all comfortably when all eating at the same time, we really enjoyed this aspect of the cottage. The kitchen was also well equipped with a good selection of pots and pans for preparing meals, large cooker and dishwasher.

A lovely spacious cottage, privacy still retained although still within a group of cottages. Great views across fields and to the mountains in the distance. A lovely walk along the lane with horses to feed and the opportunity to take in the wonderful views and watch the sunsets. Great central locations for all the tourist attractions. Just loved everything about our holiday - thank you to the owners.

March 2011
the property was very spacious and well equipped. The furnishings were in good order and the kitchen was great. However, we had trouble with the underfloor heating in 2 of the bathrooms - it didn't work and it being winter the bathrooms were very cold. There wasn't enough locker/drawer room either, we had to keep our clothes in our suitcase the whole time we were there. There was also a problem with the smell of damp in the master bedroom bathroom and in the wardrobe - we couldn't hang our clothes in there as they took the smell of damp.
Mr Mahon

A fabulously situated cottage allowing peace and relaxation with views over the countryside but only a few minutes drive from shops and attractions. A lovely area to explore with things to do for all ages. The accommodation had lots of room and was very comfortable. Would of been nice to have a second shower and an outside washing line but all in all very well equipped and decorated. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definately be returning to Northumberland in the future

property was difficult to find, lounge was upstairs no problem but! to have a cup of tea meant a 15 stair climb and was risky with hot tea when elderly.Bathroom could do with tiling being finished as this can be the first entry point for furry visitors from out side .,surrounded on three sides by industrial units, storage heaters were very erratic..so house was cold on arrival and didn,t seem to maintain a constant temp... arrived late afternoon to find not even a tablet of soap or a toilet roll,..and no local shops at the price not acceptable..all could so easily be corrected..location was ideal to tour berwick alnwick coast etc

This converted farm building has been renovated to a high standard. The furnishings were beautiful. We could have moved into the house. A car is needed to get to the local shops or pub and Berwick Upon Tweed is within a 15 minute drive. We were very impressed and would like to return one day.

The cottage was clean and well provided for regarding pots and pans. It provided flexible living accommodation and was very handy for the main road network to enable you to travel to different locations.
