Number 15 Cottage description

Holiday home
Number 15 is a welcoming town centre cottage in Shrewsbury. The cottage has a double and a single room with additional pull-out bed. There is a ground floor shower room, a kitchen with dining area and a sitting room with single sofabed and electric fire. Outside is a decked and gravelled garden, and parking can be found on the roadside. Number 15 is just ten minutes' walk from the amenities of Shrewsbury, including Theatre Severn, riverside walks, boat trips, shops, pubs and restaurants, with the rest of Shropshire ready to be explored.

Shrewsbury is an attractive historic town in Shropshire, famed for its black-and-white buildings, castle and abbey. The town was the birthplace of Charles Darwin, and offers a very good selection of shops, restaurants and bars, along with museums, galleries and the lovely new Theatre Severn. The River Severn is a focal point of the town, offering pleasant riverside walks and pleasure boat trips. From Shrewsbury it is easy to enjoy some of Shropshire's best attractions, from the mansion and deer park at NT Attingham Park, to the ten museums at Ironbridge, the wonderful countryside around Church Stretton, or the medieval town of Ludlow.

A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was "the quietest place under the sun" and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.

This cottage was homely and very welcoming, it was lovely and clean, and the owner had thought of everything for a comfortable stay. We loved the location and being just a bit further out of town meant that this street was nice and quiet without passing traffic. Have already recommended it to a friend since arriving home an hour ago.

Lovely cottage. Great location for access to the town centre and river walks. The cottage is well equipped, modern interior and very clean. Very welcoming atmosphere, bottle of wine and sweets on our arrival was a nice touch. Very helpful folders of local information and things to do/see put together by the owners were greatly appreciated. Overall a very lovely stay. Thank you.

Perfect location if you want somewhere that is quiet and with a bit of space to spread out, but within easy walking distance of the centre of Shrewsbury. There is a small grocery store barely 2 minutes walk away. The house is well equipped, and clean and tidy, and the owners are delightful to deal with. The second bedroom isn't huge, and the shower is downstairs, but then it is a Victorian terraced house - if all you need is a base for exploring and a place to crash at the end of a day out, this isn't a problem - the kitchen/dining area and sitting room are comfortable and more than adequate. We really liked it and would come again.

A really well equipped and tidy cottage on a quiet street within easy walking distance of the town centre. Shrewsbury is gorgeous, and there is lots to see and do in the surrounding area.

Lovely, well equipped cottage. Very comfy double bed! Great for access to beautiful town centre of Shrewsbury by foot. Lovely river walk + castle + train station on the way into town. Loads of history, fantastic market (lots of french food for some reason, yummy cheese anyway!) and great for shopping- literally any high street store you can think of! I would say it is fairly baby friendly as well, we didn't have any trouble with our 4 months old boy (you have to bring your own travel cot, bouncy or high chair too). All in all a lovely stay, hopefully will come back again soon. P.S. A bottle of cava and chocolate sweets on the arrival was a lovely touch. We really enjoyed them. Thank you x
