The cottage was in a quiet rural location with fantastic views. The owners were welcoming hosts who was happy to advise on walks and answer questions about the area. The cottage was spotlessly clean and contained everything we needed for an enjoyable holiday. We found it good value for money.

This farmhouse was of a high standard for the price. We had a fantastic time, the location was perfect for many of the great Lakes walks. It was in the middle of the valley and in the middle of nowhere, this was exactly what we wanted. The owners were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The cottage had everything we needed and the facilities were of a high standard with very comfy beds, we intend to return.

Just got back from a family holiday in the Lake District, we stayed at keskadale farm in the newlands valley. We went for a week but could have stayed longer, the views were un forgettable. The two bedroom apartment was perfect with its own little garden the apartment was clean and homely. We didn't want for anything, if we needed anything the owners told us to let them know, but we never needed to, the kitchen had everything we could ever need, there was a selection of teapots and coffee pots, loads of utensils and a full dinner set. The beds were really comfy and the bathroom was clean and welcoming. The apartment is part of a working farm so if you don't like the smell of animals or a little inconvenience here and there then it's not the place for you. We will be staying here again with out a doubt. There is no wifi, and no phone signal, but a little drive up the road and signal returns. Friendly affordable and fully relaxing I can't say enough about this place.

Keskadale farm has wonderful views, and we had a lovely time there. BUT...after filling in a questionnaire about the place, I received a very rude response from the owner. I had mentioned the shower was very poor, and it would be a great addition if the property were to have a washing machine. There was also a dead sheep left near where we parked tbe car for several days. The rude response means I will definitely not be returning.

If you want stunning views, peace and quiet and you love walking this is the place for you. We had a wonderful week. The owner is very friendly and chatty. The apartment is warm, cosy and compact with everything you need for an enjoyable holiday. On arrival a bunch of fresh flowers had been placed in a vase for us and there were biscuits and chocolates along with the tea and coffee. The kitchen is well fitted with lots of equipment. The dishwasher is quick and quiet - washer tablets were provided. There were lots of maps and leaflets to help plan walks and visits during the stay. The bed was very comfortable. We chose the smaller bedroom, but if you wanted lots of space the second bedroom was enormous! There is an outside seating area with views from Catbells to Robinson. The night skies were amazing. we didn't want to leave and would certainly go back again. It was excellent value. We got a wifi connection and an O2 signal but no EE reception.
