Northumberland is a beautiful place. We honeymooned there 40 years ago and out of all the properties we've stayed in over the years this was the best! The peace and tranquillity was just what we were looking for. Don't let on though as everyone will want to go!

Old Byre is an absolutely fantastic little place. Comfortable, cosy, clean and everything was provided. Amazing facilities and a great little sun trap for a cup of tea in the morning. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly whenever we needed anything and it is in a great location, couldn't recommend it more.

This is an excellent holiday house. It was comfortable, spotlessly clean and attractive. The house itself and the fixtures and fittings are of a high standard. The outside sitting area was very pleasant. It is in a quiet spot, with some nice walks around it but handy for the A1. We would strongly recommend it.

The excellent position of this property in relation to the Northumberland coast access. The accommodation was fantastic in every respect - the best we have stayed in. The short walk to the local wind farm (no noise, very quiet) allowed us to view the whole of this coastline.

Very high standard property, nicely decorated and spotlessly clean on arrival. Spoke with owner prior to holiday and found her very helpful and friendly.

The cottage was home from home! There were 2 adults, a toddler and a baby in our party and, although the cottage wasn't advertised as 'child-friendly', the layout, cleanliness, organisation, functionality and equipment within the cottage meant it made our stay unexpectedly easy! I would definitely recommend this cottage to family and friends.

Superb cottage very well located to move around the Northumberland area! We will definitely be going back. A real effort has been put in by the owners on detail to make your stay comfortable. This is evident also on how quickly it gets booked out!

The Old Byre was one of the best holiday homes I have stayed at with my parents (82 87). The property was secluded, peaceful and calm. It was everything you could want, a real home from home. Northumberland is a hidden gem in the UK.

We can't recommend the Old Byre highly enough. The house was beautifully decorated throughout, spotlessly clean and it had everything you would ever need, a real home from home. It was ideally situated to visit the lovely Northumbria coastline and villages. It was approx 15 mins from Alnwick, Bamburgh and beaches. We will definitely go back.
