The accommodation was very comfortable and well equipped although the traffic passing by was very heavy going to a caravan site nearby. The owner was very welcoming with a tray ready for a cup of tea. Allonby itself was rather disappointing apart from West Winds where we had a lovely coffee.

Exceptional welcome, especially the tea tray! Charming accommodation - a little dated for our teenage boys but first class.

A beautifully equipped and very comfortable cottage. We will go again. The owners were lovely, very welcoming and very helpful, especially when our car wouldn't start as we were getting ready to leave.

The welcoming tea tray was a definite plus, as was the 'all inclusive’ heating facilities. It was a lovely quiet spot but we did not have to drive too far to get anywhere.

What a lovely family! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were made to feel most comfortable from the beginning. The cottage had EVERYTHING that you could possibly need. The finishing touches were lovely and the tea tray complete with chocolate biscuits was a lovely touch. Thanks again for our wonderful holiday.

The owners have gone to great lengths to make a stay here very comfortable. While the Western Lakes are not far off, a day spent at Silloth nearby added to our enjoyment.

Received warm welcome to this pretty, clean and comfortable cottage. You do need a vehicle to get to and from it.

Very well presented. Owners nearby, very friendly and welcoming, but in no way intrusive. Ideally located for a wide range of activities and places to visit. A really good break.

Nice cottage, ideal base for a walking holiday, set in a quiet location, shop and pubs/chip shop just over a mile away.

We found that the cottage was a home from home. We settled in within seconds. The owner met us,showed us around the cottage, leaving us to unpack, with the words,"If you need anything we are two doors away". This was very comforting. The cottage was very well set out, and we wanted for nothing. The best equipped property we have used. Well done to the owners.

A nice comfortable cottage in a great location. The lake district national park is a 30-40 minute drive away for great walks, and the beach is just a couple of hundred yards away from your front door. Always welcomed with tea things and a chocolate biscuit. Clean and tidy accomadation with friendly owners and great surroundings.

Homely converted farm building. More than adequate furnishings and equipment. Lovely beach walk within yards. Although to the North of the Lakes we found it a great centre for our holiday.
