We had a lovely time at Osprey View and would definitely stay there again, well presented and good location.

Lovely property which was central for trips out. I took my elderly parents and the accommodation was excellent for them. We had a great time and will be booking again.

We went on a week's family fishing trip with three generations. The fishing was not brilliant, but that was more to do with the time of year. The standard of the cottage was excellent, and more than made up for our disappointing fishing. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone who wants to visit this area.

Was on holiday with my daughter, her husband, their 5 month old baby, his mother and dog, and had a wonderful time. It had everything you could possibly require for a lovely holiday. Was very clean and furnished and equipped to a high standard. Beautiful views to the water. House was next to the very busy A75 road but this didn't detract from our enjoyment at all. Great front garden to sit in and look at the view and sunbathe. No problems sleeping in the very comfortable beds and clean bed linen. Would like to come back with my husband as it is a great house either just to chill out in plus easy to get to places for exploring.

The property was really superb! It felt a real treat to be in there. I don't think we have stayed in a better place. The location is so beautiful and there were so many 'oohs' and 'aahs' as we travelled round and about! Each journey was a joy, there seemed to be so few people about and each place we visited felt like it was there just for us! We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay.

The cottage was very well designed, fittings and furniture of a very high order and the thoughtfulness of the owners remarkable. One could not wish for a better experience from a holiday rental.

Amazing location, very convenient for the whole area and the cottage itself had the most wonderful view from the kitchen window. Dumfries and Galloway seemed to be Scotland's best kept secret.

My husband, mother and myself spent a week at this accommodation which covered every amenity possible, well furnished, clean and comfortable with good beds. Great view from living room and kitchen windows, overlooking the sea. Kitchen also had a good dinning space with basic Sky t.v. in dinning room and living room. A good area for touring.

New and clean cottage, all mod cons and thoughtfully designed. Probably best cottage we have ever stayed in. Within easy reach of 5 mins drive to one of the 7 Stanes Mountain biking and another one within easy car journey - all levels catered for. Good car ride through the forests. Didn't have to travel far to enjoy the area like St Ninans cave and the Bladnock whisky distillary which was lovely. Did fishing in local lochs. Also cycled to Creetown, did local walk and visited Gems museum which was surprisingly interesting for my 11 year old. Smokehouse close by so good for scallops as holiday treat and chocolate icecream. Found path down to local beach from road near other smokehouse. Great views from the property when the sun sets. Only negative being the noise from the main road when you were sitting out but nothing you can do about that. There is a smaller road in front of the cottage which only has a small amount of passing traffic. Would say this part of the Scotland is undiscovered and well worth going to plus also closer to travel too!

We stayed here for a week in February and I would honestly really recommend the property and its location in Dumfries and Galloway. The cottage itself is absolutely great inside, everything is finished really well and the owner has thought of everything. It was way bigger than we expected too and would be great for a family to stay in. I would say its easily one of the nicest (if not the nicest) place we've stayed. The views from the property are lovely and we had some decent weather during our stay too. The location of the cottage was great too - most attractions are a fairly short drive away and everything runs off the A75 so it's nice and convenient. We didn't expect there to be much going on, especially out of season, but we were never bored during our stay and got out and about both days. This is a beautiful, peaceful part of Scotland that we've both fallen a bit in love with! We took our dog with us too and found there were loads of places to take them. We'd love to come back (maybe in summer) and if you're thinking of staying here I'd say go for it!
