Everything was perfect and the owners were very friendly.

The owners were absolutely fantastic. Our two dogs and us loved it and they were so welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. There was a lovely folder that included anything we could need or want for our stay in it such as restaurants, supermarkets, dog walk areas and even some take-away leaflets and tourist spots. If I could rate 100/10 then I would. Thank you so much to the owners and I would not hesitate to recommend or go back.

We were given a very pleasant welcome and the owners took extra care to see that we were comfortable. The kitchen was very well supplied with cutlery and good tools for food preparation and we particularly liked the luxury of underfloor heating.

This is a splendid little place and entirely as advertised. Clearly the cottage has been converted and restored as a labour of love. All in all I found a week at Pagetts Cottage a lovely experience and the owners are to be commended for the thought and effort they have put into it.

The owners were very helpful and the cottage had everything you could wish for. The location is perfect rural England at its best. A beautiful place to chill out and being very dog friendly made it perfect for our holiday.

A beautifully equipped cottage, very peaceful location and a friendly owner. It was spotlessly clean and everything had been thought of. Ideally located for travel to Northampton. In an idyllic wee village setting.

We booked this cottage for a week, came home after 4 nights, no hanging space, very small uncomfortable settee, lots of traffic noise all through the day and most of the night, difficult access between two brick buildings onto a very busy road, on the second night one of the dining room chairs `collapsed` when I was sitting down to dinner, resulting in bruising to my back and hip, the shower is very slippery, on the Friday morning I slipped, babged my shoulder and cut my foot, at that point we decided to leave, on arriving back home I rang the booking agent to ask for a refund of the unused part of my booking, they contacted the owner, who refused, saying the chairs were `new` I doubt that, but even if they where they were `unfit for purpose` he says the shower is fine, I also dispute that.

The property and location were ideal for what we needed and for what we wanted to do. The property was lovely and me and my wife had a lovely relaxing time. We will probably go back in a couple of years.

A very comfortable little cottage presented in excellent condition. Situated in a lovely quiet village yet conveniently close to Market Harborough. We can't think of a bad word to say about this place and will definitely stay there again.

Welcoming owners greeted us with wine, bread, milk and eggs. Cottage is very clean and appears recently fitted out and decorated. Kitchen area was well-equipped with utensils and crockery and bed was very comfortable. Addressing the issues in the negative March review, I would say that the shower and chairs seem perfectly safe to me (I have 20 years insurance claims experience). There was sufficient storage space with a chest of drawers, bedside drawers and a small wardrobe. The sofa, although small, was comfortable for two people, or one snoring, stretched-out dog (please use the blue throw provided or bring your own throws if your hound insists on being a couch potato). Access to cottage is safe - you just need to reverse in to ensure you can see up and down road when you drive out. Or park in the street. There is traffic noise from the street outside and the nearby A427. We are from London and used to traffic noise, but it may disturb some people. The village is very picturesque and offers some pleasant walks. Nearby there is East Carlton Country Park (walks and craft shops), Foxton Locks (canal walks, boat trips and pubs with big gardens) and Rutland Water (walking, biking, boating and cafes). The local countryside and villages are very pretty. We would suggest two things that would improve the cottage for us. A gate on the patio area to keep nervous or lively dogs closely confined (the yard is gated but horses etc pass by which excite my dog no end), and wi-fi. Mobile signal was non-existent for Vodafone and very weak for 3 (I could intermittently get online with 3 at the table, or on the patio, but the only reliable signal could be obtained while sitting in the car in the parking area). Wi-fi would help enormously.

The overall cleanliness and decor' of the property was extremely good and so was its location in the village. It was an ideal location to get to many places of interest.

Liked the village position and that the owners had thought of everything to make your stay really nice, there was a good information folder, even games, books and DVDs if wanted. Decked area was a little sun trap, was able to have breakfast out there twice and two evening meals too so just great. We will return again.
