We found our stay very comfortable in a very well equipped and cosy cottage. We were very impressed by the welcome pack that we found on arrival. The village and people were very friendly, the Queen Catherine Hotel was a fantastic eatery; very dog friendly even though we didn't have one. All in all a fantastic cottage in a fantastic location and would strongly recommend to friends and family. Full credit to the owners who kept in touch with details of keys etc. Well done to all.

Peelers Cottage was an extremely comfortable and cosy cottage, in a lovely village, close to lots of walking. Nice furnishings with lots of useful info re walks, and an excellent wood burner. Friendly pubs with good beer and fires.

A charming cottage in the centre of the village with three excellent pubs/restaurants. The cottage had a lovely sunny garden and was enclosed for our dog to play in. The cottage had everything we required, had the weather been wet or cool; it had a good central heating system as well as a wood burning stove with plenty of logs. I would recommend this cottage to others as there were lots of different walks straight from the cottage door. Northallerton was a 15 minute drive for supermarkets but the village shop also opened daily.

Had a fantastic week at this charming cottage, everything about it was just lovely. A fantastic location for walking, everything you need is on your doorstep; 3 lovely pubs serving great food and very good service, coffee shops, local shop just across the rood and a very good chip shop. The cottage had everything you needed and more, it was lovely relaxing in the roll top bath after a long walk and the log burner was lovely too. We didn't want to leave but we are returning in July and I cannot wait. A perfect location for a perfect holiday, very very relaxing. The village itself was just charming with great views and the people are so friendly.

We had a fantastic short break, and the cottage met our needs perfectly. It was very comfortable, warm and cosy, and whilst the kitchen is not very big had everything we needed. I would thoroughly recommend this to my family and friends.

Communication with owners was very efficent and thought given when supplying logs and welcome pack etc. was a nice touch. The location of the cottage is also great.
November 2015
Lovely characterful cottage with everything you need. The hamper was a bonus with bread, milk, eggs, biscuits etc. This cottage is an ideal base to explore the surrounding countryside such as the Cod Beck Reservoir and the North Yorkshire Moors. Also a great location for drives to Pickering for the North Yorkshire Moors Railway to Whitby and to Scarborough. A nice two tiered garden but it is a though garden with the neighbour at the back. It needs to have a gate to separate the two gardens as I have a dog and you have to guard in between them.

Great well equipped, cosy cottage in Osmotherley village. Well positioned for exploring the Yorkshire Moors and surrounding areas. There are so many walks straight from the cottage, and the owners have a big folder of walking routes which was very useful. Clean and comfortable. The wood burner was nice to have too and plenty of wood which you don't normally get. Great shower, and we did not experience any of the issues previously written about in previous reviews here so don't worry! On street parking available on the main road straight outside. Great pubs in the village, particularly recommend the Three Tuns. Easy pickup key arrangements with the owner. Thank you for the welcome pack too, its was much appreciated.

Stayed for 4 nights and found this cottage to be well set up for visitors. All 3 pubs in village were good for food and plenty of walks direct from door. Didn't use wood burner but there was plenty of fuel supplied
