This is the 2nd time we have been to this cottage, it is amazing. The owners are so welcoming and the hot tub is divine. There is nothing bad I can say about this cottage, we can't wait to go back again.

Cottage was fabulous, beautifully decorated and furnished throughout. Everything clean and tidy. Hot tub brilliant! Used every evening until dark. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners but nothing needed, as they had thought of every comfort. Definitely be back!

The owners gave us a warm welcome. The cottage was of a very high standard and had a fantastic hot tub. It was a dog friendly cottage which had a large enclosed garden and the local walks were lovely. It was a good location for visiting Aberystwyth and the Devils bridge area. The scenery was breathtaking. We would highly recommend this cottage to everyone.

Had a lovely week enjoying the peace, quiet and tranquillity. Would thoroughly recommend and hope to go back one day. A fabulous holiday.

Owners very friendly and helpful. Freshly made cakes upon arrival to the cottage. Fantastic wood burner made the lounge at night very cosy and warm. Fantastic hot tub and lovely warm outdoor changing room with shower facilities. Views from the cottage over the mountains and woods absolutely stunning.

The hot tub is a real plus point after a long walk. It was nice to be able to relax and chill in, in the evenings. Also there are plenty of walks to explore nearby meaning you don't have to start the car if you don't want to.
March 2015
We had an amazing time here. It was very comfortable, a real home from home. The owners lived 100 yards away however they were very respectful of our privacy. The hot tub was brilliant after a hard day walking. A little remote but that suited us! Would definitely recommend.

Llanafan is a lovely, quiet relaxing location. Pen-Y-Bryn is a well maintained, comfortably furnished cottage. Walks in the area are good and if you want to go further afield there are places not too far away.

Great holiday cottage, one of the best we have stayed in. The owner met us on arrival and was very welcoming and friendly, which was a lovely start to our stay there. House spotlessly clean and has everything you could need in it, with plenty of space for us and the three kids. Great to be able to bring our dogs to such a nice cottage. The owners were nearby if you needed them.

The cottage was beautiful, and very well equipped; from teaspoons to pizza cutter. The scenery from the cottage was stunning. The hot tub was an added bonus and was spotless. The owners were very friendly but not obtrusive, cannot think of any faults and would gladly return.

We met the owner on arrival for the hand over and although they live only 2 doors away they left us to get on with enjoying the break. The hot tub was maintained whilst we were out for the day. The whole break was very relaxing.

We were on a return visit from last year which in turn speaks for itself. The property was within an ideal, quiet location for a couple in a very unspoilt part of the world. There are local walks and we enjoyed the hot tub. The owners were very friendly.

The cottage was in a perfect setting, with excellent walks both from the cottage and in the surrounding area. The cottage is extremely comfortable and provided everything we needed for a very relaxing holiday. The hot tub was a particular bonus especially after returning from long walks in the day. The owners are very friendly and we loved hot scones, jam and cream on arrival.

The location was wonderful, probably the best area we've stayed in, and the standard of the cottage itself was excellent. Accepting dogs and having a fully enclosed garden were the main reasons why we chose the cottage but the excellent WiFi, TV, comfy beds and overall standard of the cottage were added bonuses.

The cottage was lovely, beautiful views and walks from the door. The jacuzzi was fantastic, private and had the views too; it was cleaned daily. The owners were attentive and friendly but not intrusive. The jam and cream scones on arrival were very welcome. The beds were very comfortable with good quality clean linen. A good dog friendly holiday.

An immaculate cottage in a beautiful and quiet location, this was a holiday made in heaven. Red kites flying over head by day, and a crystal clear view of the milky way at night, all enjoyed with a glass of cava from the luxury of the hot tub :) We were made to feel welcome and at home.

A beautiful unspoilt part of Wales - so clean and friendly. The owners could not have been more welcoming and are justly proud of their cottage. It has everything you could wish for including the fab hot tub and the quiet setting with an abundance of local dog friendly walks. Best Sykes cottage we have stayed in. So much so we have already booked to return next year.

December 2013
The property was in a beautiful setting, peaceful and relaxing. The owners were the perfect hosts with a warm welcome and lovely homely cottage. The hot tub looked out onto a serene hill and yes, we saw the kites and buzzards above the cottage. Despite being December we were warm and cosy with the woodburner and the cottage had everything we needed from a large television to a deck of cards should we have needed them.
May 2016
Just beautiful! Cottage is lovely, garden and hot tub and clean and the views are incredible. Would highly recommend. Only a short drive from Aberystwyth.

Good little cottage in a small village off the beaten track, it is well presented and very clean, the owners are friendly and helpful and respect your privacy. Booking was a no fuss affair and the owners kept in touch with directions and information long before we arrived This place served us well for exploring this area of Wales with beautiful coastlines and small towns to visit There are plenty of walks to be done (plenty of maps supplied in the cottage) within the local area If you are in the mood for driving I would highly recommend heading inland past Devils bridge and taking the mountain road through the Elan Valley, spectacular. Last but not least the hot tub is simply brilliant especially at night under the stars. We had a good stay and recommend that you visit and explore the area

August 2016
Our hosts were lovely and nothing was too much trouble for them. We were overwhelmed by the facilities within the cottage which exceeded our expectations. The level of equipment and attention to detail was superb. This provided us with the best possible start to what was to become a very special weeks holiday. We will definitely be back to stay in the cottage again and have recommended this holiday to all our friends.
November 2015
This is a wonderful cottage with everything you could possibly want, it is tastefully decorated and furnished and spotless. We were met by the owner, Byron who showed us around the property and explained everything we would need to know. There were homemade scones and flowers waiting for us, which was a lovely touch. The wood burning stove is great for a cosy night in and the hot tub is superb, it certainly is a great way to relax after a busy day sightseeing. Having stayed is a lot of properties with hot tubs this is certainly the best one by far. The location is great for a quiet relaxing break and the scenery is breath taking which ever way you go. We had three young children and there is plenty of space for them and us, and the wifi was great for children. I would definitely recommend this property, you certainly won't be disappointed.
