The cottage also has a kitchen, dining room, a garden room with dining area and woodburning stove and a sitting room with gas fire. Outside there's off road parking for three cars and an enclosed lawned garden with patio, unfenced pond and furniture. A lovely base for a family holiday.
The village of Stamford Bridge was a fording point over the River Derwent for a Roman settlement, but today it offers a selection of shops and restaurants and is notable for a renovated railway viaduct, which is now used as a cycle and public footpath. Within easy reach are the pretty Yorkshire market towns of Malton, Beverley and Driffield, and the city of York is close by and well worth visiting.
The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.
