A beautifully finished holiday dwelling, which has clearly had a lot of thought vested in the design of the refurbishment. Hope to stay again when work commitments permit.

The cottage is excellent and provided everything we could possibly want. It is situated on a farm in beautiful countryside. The owners have made this a perfect place to relax and unwind, and the cottage is very aptly named Pip's Hideaway.

The peace and quiet of the location was great. There is easy reach of most places of interest and for all amenities. Although situated in the heart of the countryside it was only a few minutes to drive into Kendal itself where there was plenty of restaurants and pubs etc. Likewise just a short drive, some 15/20 minutes takes you into Lake Windermere and Ambleside.

The place was really nicely maintained, we enjoyed our stay. The place was really peaceful and there were two little lakes just outside the cottage. The jacuzzi was nice and every little detail had been taken care of. We really enjoyed the BBQ place and the fireplace in the living area too.

Cottage was excellent in every way, being so near a farm was so different from anywhere we have stayed, and watching sheep being sheared was good. Also the outlook of watching sheep and birds was very exciting.

Pip's hideaway was of a really high standard and there was so much attention to detail with little well thought out extras.

January 2014
Pip's Hideaway was perfect for a relaxing getaway. The cottage was immaculate when we arrived and very well presented. The cottage over exceeded our expectations with all the finishing touches including books and leaflets about the local area, DVDs and board games for rainy days. We did not take a car and found it manageable as there are local taxis and the walk to town is beautiful if you take the back roads, which takes approx 1 and a half hours. We will definitely be staying here in the future.

Just a short drive to Lake Windermere, there is lots of water sports or relaxing Lake Cruises or even Lake Coniston where we had a Picnic Cruise on the National Trust Steam Yacht Gondola.

What a fantastic property, decorated and finished to a high standard. The location was perfect for us, quiet with beautiful scenery. The attention to detail was great, along with the little extras such as a newspaper, flowers, a pint of milk and Kendal mint cake on arrival. The jacuzzi bath was heavenly and the garden was a little sun trap.

Everything about our stay at pips hideaway was lovely, from the little touches like fresh flowers to a handy pint of milk in the fridge. We booked through Sykes and the process was easy, the directions provided were great and we arrived at the property without getting lost. On arrival the location was picturesque and very quiet which is just what we needed. The interior of the cottage is of high standard throughout and completely modern with all the gadgets we needed for example wifi and a stereo system to dock our iPods! We had everything we needed for a week away and the great selection of books on the lake district were really helpful when we wanted to venture out. I would highly recommend this cottage to all my family and friends, the owner even kindly posted my hair straighteners back to me after I left them in the cottage. Thank you
