The location close to town was very convenient. The enclosed garden was ideal as it allowed our dog to roam without a problem. It was an ideal base for walking parts of the Offa's Dyke trail. Friendly and helpful owners and local people. A lovely quirky cottage on several levels with a well appointed kitchen and modern bath/shower rooms.

Lovely, well-equipped cottage in great location for the village. A very reasonable price considering the location and facilities. Friendly owner too. Had a great week.

The cottage was a wonderful blend of modern and original quirkiness. Lots of character with a lovely private garden and views. Very helpful owners and Bishops Castle was a great base to explore the Shropshire countryside with good pubs food and interesting shops.

The house has a really relaxing and happy feel to it. The bathrooms both contained fantastic showers. The kitchen was really well equipped. The view from the garden was lovely, you get the same view from one of the twin rooms. It was a real joy to wake to that. We would all recommend a stay here and hope to come back again next year.

The cottage was very welcoming. It was filled with books and knick-knacks which made it made very homely. The woodburner was great, and there were sufficient logs for our weekend. We also liked the fact that it was not far from the centre, and that the village was so friendly and interesting. Would definitely go there again, the kids loved the house, so did my son and his girlfriend, overall I give it 5 stars for character and thoughtfulness of the owners.

Great 'home from home' in a fantastic location. Could not fault the property. Owners left logs for fire, included all linen and even left a bottle of wine and delicious, homemade jam - just lovely.

The cottage was warm and cosy, well situated in a charming small town full of lovely shops, pubs, cafes etc. People were super friendly - the cottage owners were very helpful and like old friends to us. It was fun to watch Morris dancing and have few walks in the amazing countryside. There was plenty of lovely small villages and towns to visit around the area. The cottage felt like home to us - it was hard to leave.

We really liked the property, the kitchen had everything a chef would need, great shower room, large living area with conservatory at one end and a log burner at the other. The weather outside was cold but we were always warm inside. Great pubs only a few minutes walk away and plenty of countryside to discover on the doorstep. Homemade marmalade greatly appreciated.

As frequent visitors to the the town of Bishops Castle we know the area very well, we had only previously stayed in B&B's etc, but thought we would rent a cottage. We were amazed at the facilities on offer at this lovely cottage and were really pleased to find some where to stay that exceeded all of our expectations. There are 3 generous sized bedrooms as well as living accommodation over several floors including a conservatory leading on to the gardens that takes full advantage of the views across the hills. A large walk in shower in the first bathroom as well as bath with shower over on the third floor impressed us enormously as other places we have stayed at tend to scrimp on such luxury. The cottage was clean, tidy and felt very homely and loved and it was evident from the minute we set foot through the door that this was a home that is really cherished by its owners, rather than just somewhere they rent out. There is also a wood-burner in the large fireplace in the lounge if the evenings should prove too chilly. With the town of Bishops Castle a mere stroll away with its plethora of brewery's, real ale pubs and shops a-plenty it is a mecca for anyone who loves well kept beer, great food, wonderful walks from the back door as well as somewhere to kick off their shoes at the end of the day, with a beer in hand purchased directly from the brewery whilst sitting in the conservatory in this delightful cottage to watch the birds in the garden eat from the feeder, Highly recommended and we can't wait to return again in the future.

Stayed here for a weekend in November, 3 spacious bedrooms and a lovely living/dining room complete with wood burner, fully equipped kitchen with everything we needed. Two high quality bathrooms with great showers. The conservatory was bright and sunny in the mornings and also has a lovely garden overlooking the town. Within walking distance of the town centre and lots to do amongst the beautiful Shropshire countryside. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others. We stayed with children aged 4-7, perfect for a family weekend away.

This was a wonderful place to stay. It was clean and very comfortable, a real home-from-home. The kitchen was well equipped, and the locally produced apple juice and home made conserve was delicious and much appreciated. It had a great log burner and a large walk-in shower as well as a separate bath. The owner ensured we had everything we needed and we will definitely visit again.

Great location, comfortable and superbly equipped, excellent value for money. Very nice touches were the provision of a basket of logs for the woodburner, a jar of home-made marmalade and a good selection of books, maps and DVDs

The cottage was really nice and brilliantly located at the high end of a lovely large village. The cottage was well found with only the ktchen being a little light on work surfaces and serving dishes. It was comfortable and well furnished and we really enjoyed our stay apart from one crucial issue, the parking. The onstreet parking was a narrow lane used by large agricultural vehicles amongst other things. When we were there a farmer came through 3 times with a combine harvester forcing us to move the car as he was going to roll right over it! He was aggressive and obnoxious and even called the police who called at 8.30 the following morning. They quickly agreed he was in the wrong and communicated this to him but it rathe took the gloss of our week, so beware the on street parking!!

A very good stay, We enjoyed Bishops Castle as atourist base for many activities. Unspoilt area with an old England feel. Cottage was ideally placed close to town but parking ws difficult close to the cottage. Steep steps to cottage. Ok for us but would be difficult for elderly or disabled. Nice garden in good weathe and a very warm conservatory. Cupboard in the lounge was dangerous. The door came off in hands and cupboard was unstable ..would have damaged a small child!! However cottage was well equipped and very comfortable. We would definitely return for the right price. Close to good walks and brilliant for the dog. Town is charming and full of restaurants, pubs and breweries. Very enjoyable.

This house is an ideal base for exploring the charming old town of Bishops Castle and the delightful surrounding countryside of South Shropshire. It is well equipped and comfortable with full central heating and a log burning stove in the lounge...and no additional charges for electricity. The owner has renovated the property to a high standard. It is ideally located, only a few minutes walking distance to the pubs, restaurants and shops in the town. The garden offers superb views of the Shropshire hills. Parking directly outside the property is not really to be recommended as the road is rather narrow but we had no difficulty finding a parking spot a short distance from the house. This property may not be suitable for very elderly or disabled guests as it is set on 5 levels and there are steep access steps. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly return at some point in the future.
