The scenery was spectacular from the house, we enjoyed watching the wildlife from the windows (the chickens added extra amusement!). The house had everything we needed and the welcome gifts were appreciated. It is on the list of places we must hopefully revisit one day.

This was one of the nicest barns we have stayed in. The people who live on the farm are lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The views were fantastic. We will go back next year, excellent and highly recommended.

We loved the peace and tranquility of the barn and surrounding area. Only 10 minutes to civilisation. Have done the Moors several times but have now found the Dales even more spectacular especially on a sunny day. Made to feel very welcome by the owner and will certainly be doing a return visit.

Owners could not have been more helpful, welcoming and accommodating. The location of the barn is fabulous and lends itself to a peaceful, tranquil holiday. The kitchen was well equipped, double room was very comfortable and overall the barn had a genuine 'home from home' feel. We certainly intend to go back there and would move to the area if we could!

The welcome was outstanding: we were greeted with a welcome card, home made loaf of bread, and a tin of home made biscuits! Absolutely amazing! Plenty of sofa space for us all and very comfortable sofas. Kitchen had amazing views and very spacious. Double oven was a bonus as we mostly ate in and took advantage of the great cooking area. Plenty of tourist information available at the cottage. Surroundings were beautiful. When we visited in June - there was lots of wildlife to see.

It was a particularly beautiful spot, and a very comfortable house. The owners were friendly and we felt welcome on their farm. The house was furnished and maintained to a very high standard, and felt luxurious. Our sons loved the free-range chickens, wild geese and pheasants that ambled around the house, and the large enclosed garden was ideal for them to play. We had a wonderfully quiet, relaxing holiday and will recommend this house to friends.

The cottage is located in a high vantage point, with stunning views over the reservoir down into the vale. Walking in the area is good, with Lofthouse and How Stean gorge in Nidderdale being a short drive away. The cottage itself is very spacious being a very big 2 bedroom property. The quality of the furnishings is first class, and you could have a banquet around the dining table!

Ample room for all, very comfortable and clean. The veiws were stunning, and every sunset and sunrise brought different colours over the valley. Quiet with some super walks right from the doorstep. A must visit again type of place. Maybe a little too far away from the village center for some, about a 10 min drive, but suited us down to the ground.

On the edge of the moors this cottage is a great place for chilling out....literally in our case since we were there for 3 extra days because of heavy snow! Even so, we walked every day and then returned to a beautiful barn conversion with exceptional views through floor to ceiling windows in front of the table in the kitchen/diner. Helen, the owner, was very supportive when we could not get out to shops and raided her own cupboards to supplement essentials and also provided home grown lamb from her freezer.

Our stay in the Barn was lovely. The views across Leighton Reservoir and the moors are spectacular. The accommodation was very comfortable with plenty of seating and a large fully equipped kitchen. Helen (the owner) kindly left us a home baked loaf of bread and a Victoria Sandwich, both of which were delicious. I would highly recommend this property for a peaceful get away. The location of Pott Hall Farm does necessitate having a car and perhaps the remote location would not suit everyone. So beware if you like to just pop out the front door to walk to the local pub, restaurant or place of entertainment, this is not the place for you. But if you like walking, spectacular views, peace and quiet and a gentler pace of life then I can recommend no better accommodation.

Real get-away-from-it-all location. A great part of the world, with lots to see and do. Accommodation was very spacious, extremely well-appointed with a lovely range of oak furniture throughout. Comfortable bed, and relaxing leather recliners in the lounge. House was a bit cold at times, and would have benefitted from a woodburner rather than electric fire. Owners very friendly, and happily posted back some items we mistakenly left behind.

We were fortunate that there was a heavy snowfall just before we arrived which added to the beauty of the scenery- we were worried that we would not be able to get up the hill, but the owners gave us the number of a farmer who could help us up the hill with his tractor if needed, and we were very a pleased to arrive to a warm kitchen with a chritmas tree and home made mince pies to welocme us. The home was well equipped and big enough for our family of 5, and remote enough for us to get away from it all. There were plenty of walks from the farm even in the snow and ice A great location to get away for winter; we would like to return in the summer time and sit out on the bench in the evenings on our next visit

very nice owners, who live to one side of the barn, left us scones and milk and eggs, a loaf of home baked bread on our arrival. Very comfortable barn, extremely quiet, though is a good way from civilisation - masham - which was perfect for us, but may be too isolated for others. March in Yorkshire is as you might expect, chilly, changable, rainy at times, even some snow for a short time. York is not far and worth a visit, Harrogate is lovely, and we spent a delightful time in a country hotel outside Whitby - do go to the Magpie fish restaurant - lovely food and great atmosphere. We really enjoyed our time in North Yorkshire, though we did visit friends making it even more special.
