The property was in excellent condition - clean, modern and spacious. There was plenty of hot water and heating and it was really well insulated. There was a lovely view from the cottage. A great place for families and anyone who needs a wheelchair accessible space. We have a dog and it was a perfect spot for him.

We enjoyed the relaxed feeling of the cottage and its surroundings. I also liked the fact that nothing was limited e.g hot water, logs etc as it can be in some places. The owner of the cottage was lovely and very informative.

With regards our accommodation the attention to detail and homely touches were lovely. The owners made us feel really welcome and nothing was too much trouble. As this was our first visit to Yorkshire this accommodation was so nice and central.

Pottofields Farm has two cottages, Cooper Cottage and Pottowe Cottage. I originally booked Cooper Cottage but realised later on that it didn't have a walk-in shower which my husband needed, whereas Pottowe Cottage has a walk-in shower as well as Spa bath. I immediately contacted the owner, Mr. Mungham and asked if it was possible to swap and was very good but asked me to contact the agent as well as I booked it through them so that it can't be double booked for the period of our holiday. The owner was very welcoming and very friendly. There was a welcome pack of biscuits, large bottle of milk, tea and coffe which was much appreciated. The cottage is beautifully furnished and the doors are wide so suitable for wheelchair-user. My husband has mobility problem so the cottage suited us really well. All the rooms are at ground level and there are two bedrooms, one double and one twin. The best selling point for the property is the location, it is very quiet so you are guaranteed a good night's sleep. It is also a great place for walkers, I am not a walker myself but I paint so I was doing just that after we've been out for the day. The only negative about the place is that there is no wi-fi on offer so if you come and hope to do your work, it's not easy. It was also not easy to find the place as Blackhorse lane is long so the SatNav took us to the other end and we ended up in the neighbouring village of Swainby but Mr Mungham met us at the top of the highway, after we called him. If you are a member of English Heritage and Historic Houses Association, there are several places to visit. There is Kiplin Hall just beyond Thirsk, Castle Howard, Rievaulx Abbey, Byland Abbey, Helmsley Castle, Kirkham Priory and several others. There is not as many National Trust in this area but the seaside town of Saltburn-by-the Sea is a lovely place to visit and don't miss Helmsley too. We found the nearby towns of Guisborough, Northallerton and Stokesley to be good to explore. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to get away from it all as it's so tranquil.

A beautifully appointed cottage which can guarantee a perfectly relaxing and peaceful experience. High ceiling in the living area emphasizes the space in this cottage, plenty of hot water, and the heating system will keep you as warm as can be imagined, even in England! Fabulous scenery for walkers to get away from it all into the hills. For drivers just buy a local route map and challenge yourself to experience the wonders of the North Yorkshire Moors. Close to market towns of Stokesley and Northallerton, wonderful fresh meat and veg. Keith is the most welcoming host and will ensure your stay is memorable. Local pub in Potto serves good food and a friendly welcome. Sad to leave and would definitely recommend to others.

Very clean cottage with great amenities for disabled especially bathroom which was large enough to hose a electric wheelchair stand aid and shower chair all at the same time. very well located to visit York Harrogate Whitby northallerton and Helmsley. friendly owners live on site and have a welcome pack of tea coffee biscuits ect. overall good place to stay

A lovely cottage with easy access for my elderly parents. The cottage is beautifully decorated and very well equipped. The cottage is in a lovely setting. Lots of nice touches including biscuits, milk, tea and coffee supplied on arrival. We were very lucky with the weather but in the cooler evenings the cottage was lovely and warm. We had a family get together during our stay and 10 adults were easily accommodated in the large kitchen/lounge area.We can highly recommend! The Blacksmith's Arms in Swainby is also fantastic for Sunday lunch. You will not leave hungry! The area is beautiful and so many of the surrounding villages are gorgeous that we will definitely need to return to try out the many pubs and tea shops.

A lovely cottage with great use of space for our son who uses a powered wheelchair.Lots of room for him to drive around and low level access throughout. All the luxury you need to relax and rewind. Spotlessly clean with added touches of a welcome pack of tea, coffee, biscuit tray and even milk in the fridge. The owners were very welcoming and helpful and the free range chickens were a hit with our son.Lovely area with lots to do and see.A delightful place to relax.Very highly recommended.
