An absolutely lovely cottage, it was everything we could have wished for. Best described as 'small but perfectly formed'! The local pub so close was a bonus and the new landlord made it a second 'home from home'. An added bonus was the close proximity of the bus stop and train station, it meant we could leave the car behind for the day to visit Durham and Alnwick etc.
Mr Lockey

It was especially good to come back on a cold evening and light the woodburner which was very efficient. The cottage was comfy and homely and very well furnished. Loved the dogs picture in the sitting room. Dishwasher an unexpected bonus. We really enjoyed our week, such stunning places even in the cold. Thank you all!

April 2014
The cottage is situated in a pretty village where the locals could not have been more welcoming, which made our stay a very pleasant one and we will be returning soon. There were many good walks from the cottage, including into Alnmouth, which took approx 40 minutes as a gentle stroll, rewarded by an excellent Sunday lunch at The Sun Inn, accompanied by our dog, who was also made to feel welcome wherever we visited. We would highly recommend visiting this cottage.
Mrs Scott

The cottage was ideal for 2 people and because it is on one level, it's ideal for people who have difficulty climbing stairs, as we sometimes do. Lesbury is a beautiful village and a great location for exploring the Northumberland coast from Berwick to Blyth.

One of the nicest cottages we've stayed in.Cosy, comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Loved the log burner, especially as the weather was cold and snowy during our stay. The cottage is located in a quiet little villiage and is a few hundred yards from a nice village pub and is within a short distance of the wonderfull Northumberland coast.
March 2013
This was our second visit inside 3 months and it didnt disappoint.Only one minor complaint was that the oven had not been cleaned inside and smelt of burnt fat.We will return.Thank you.
October 2011
We know this area of Northumberland well and specifically wanted to stay in Lesbury as we like The Coach Inn so much! We booked directly with the owners rather than the managing agent, having found a copy of their leaflet during an internet search. The cottage was everything we'd hoped for & more. We believe it has only been let since April this year and had obviously been completely renovated before that. The whole place is decorated to a really good standard. The kitchen is well equipped with quality white goods and equipment. Nice bathroom with a big bath (towels are provided) Fairly spacious living room / diner with a wood burning stove. Kindling and a basket of logs are provided and you can purchase more logs from the garden store using an honesty box to pay. The bedroom is small, but the bed is very comfotable. The wardrobe is more than adequate for two people with loads of hangers and there is further storeage in the hall cupboard. Outside there is plenty of private space including a lawned area. There is a large patio table and chairs and in the garage there is a barbecue, lounger chairs and even a free standing hammock! The property accepts 1 well behaved dog as long as it is not left alone in the cottage. Ours loved the wood burning stove! You should, however, note that whilst the garden is private it is not secure as the garden and driveway are as one. The only other slight negative, and we do mean slight, is the tight turning from the main drive to the parking at the back of the cottage. We have a Mondeo Estate and it did take a bit of manoeuvring to get in and out. Overall, we thought the cottage was excellent and very good value. If we visit the area again we will certainly look to book this cottage
