Our stay here was supposed to be a family celebration of my 40th birthday. However it was far from the enjoyable experience my family were expecting as the cottage was not as advertised and there were numerous issues some of which I have summarised below:- lack of adequate hot water - for the first 3 nights we had minimal very hot water idespite raising the issue with the owners. Once it was 'fixed' the amount of hot water available remained unreliable and scalding hot. The advert states there is wifi but beware my iPad couldn't even find the 'guest wifi' network and my husband's tablet could only find a weak signal ( as shown in the photo) so I feel sure that we would not have been able to use the wifi even if the owners had taken the time to provide us with the correct password. There was limited access to TV viewing - the advert states that there are TV's in each bedroom but our in our expereince there was no TV provided in the twin bedroom, no remote in one of the double bedrooms which rendered the TV useless and only a limited number of BBC channels in the other double bedroom. Also beware - some of the kitchen equipment left a lot to be desired - no chopping board, no useable masher, plus chipped crockery. The washer / dryer kept switching off as the on/ off switch seems to be worn. Whilst these are everyday issues when you are at home, it's not what you expect on holiday. Our experience was made worse because the owners were on holiday and had not left adequate provision for us to contact them - mobile number was switched off and the email address provided could not be used due to the unavailability of the wifi. Whilst I understand they are entitled to go on holiday as much as anyone I regard it as there responsibility to ensure we could contact them and receive a response in a timely way - sadly lacking during our stay.

My stay here was just perfect. Beautiful relaxing surroundings, the lodge was amazing, hot tub so welcoming on cold nights. The owners were so welcoming, helpful and easy going. I wouldn't hesitate to go back or recommend it to my friends, in fact I'm making plans to go back again. Showed friends pictures we took there. They too are sold on this fabulous lodge.

Had a really enjoyable stay. Lovely log cabin and friendly helpful owners - welcoming to both us and our dog. In a good location with plenty of places to walk the dog. Had use of the private hot tub, which was a nice treat.

We really enjoyed our time here, it was perfect for the four of us (two couples). The living space is very open and spacious, kitchen was fairly well equipped, and had a dishwasher which was lovely so we didn't have to spend ages washing up on our short break! We lit the woodburner every evening and it quickly heated the whole cabin to a great temperature. The bathroom and shower room were both great, but we found after two showers we needed more hot water, which put me off having a bath just as nobody else would have any hot water. The shower room was great for after hot tub, with lots of wet swimwear it was good to have somewhere to put it. The nearest town has a few pubs and restaurants including a lovely indian takeaway, its not too far to drive to fetch food so don't be put off that. It says there is WIFI but beware, the connection is not great, i found it best if i sat at the far corner of the dining table so I'm closer to the main house. The owners were VERY friendly and we also bought some really good sausages from them, would recommend those! We had a visit from a lovely chubby cat and got to see lots of the piggies in the pen next to the cabin, overall the place feels very homely.

Perfect for the needs of three generations. The three and five year olds adored having their own 'playground' in the garden. In a lovely quiet spot within easy reach of facilities and local attractions. The owners were fantastically friendly, welcoming and helpful. I would recommend the property to anyone wanting a convenient base for exploring this beautiful part of Wales.
