Area
The popular seaside village of Rhosneigr lies on the stunning west coast of Anglesey, famous for spectacular cliffs and expansive sandy beaches. The village has a rich and varied history that encompasses tales of smugglers, a 6th Century church, off-shore shipwrecks and as a fashionable holiday destination during the Edwardian era. Today the main draw is still its stunning sandy beaches that offer a safe haven for bathers and water sports enthusiasts, providing some of the best windsurfing and kitesurfing in the UK. Other activities include fishing, sailing, sand yachting, wreck diving and golf as well as being a perfect resort for families looking for a traditional seaside holiday. The village has several pubs, restaurants and shops and for further amenities the market towns of Llangefni and Holyhead (the starting point for day-trips to Dublin), and the city of Bangor are within easy travelling distance. Further afield on the island you will find Pili Palas Butterfly Farm, Anglesey Sea Zoo and Beaumaris Castle. Boat trips around Puffin Island offer the chance to see nesting puffins and guillemots, or cross to the mainland and enjoy Victorian Llandudno's shopping, restaurants and dry-ski slope.

We loved the cottage. The artist's drawings were beautiful. The location was ideal for our needs. There are excellent facilities for children. The bedrooms were all very tastefully decorated. The owner was very helpful. We would definitely recommend Rivendell to others and would love to visit again.

Rivendell is absolutely fantastic, especially if you have kids. It was maintained in mint condition and clean to very high standards. We spent almost entire part of our 3 night's stay indoors as the weather was not kind. But the cottage has got basically everything every one of us needed, the place was such a relaxing experience.

We had a wonderful week at Rivendell and would happily recommend it to anyone. We loved the views, wildlife and easy access to the fantastic, huge beach at Rhosneigr, as well as the jets of RAF Valley, which we enjoyed watching. The property itself is spacious, comfortable and well equipped, and we were particularly impressed with the extensive range of extras we were given - thank you!

The location and the overall standard of the property was very good. All rooms were comfortable and tastefully decorated. The beach was just a short walk away, which was a big plus point. On the last day, the owner allowed us a late checkout which definitely came in handy, as we needed those precious extra hours to get the kids ready, wind up and check out. So the gesture was highly appreciated!

An excellent position for families with young children, the beach and dunes were a special place for the grandchildren. The cottage was spacious and accommodated eight people very well. The beds were comfortable, there was loads of storage space and the games room was an extra bonus. RAF valley turned out to be a plus rather than a negative; we enjoyed watching the jets take off and land.

The house was perfect for us and very spacious and the location was wonderful. So close to the beach and still close enough to the facilities in town. Absolutely fabulous.

Excellent location and a lovely place to stay for a family holiday. There is plenty of space to spread out and it was very child friendly. Everything we needed was there from board games to penty of towels. I would certainly recommend this property.

The accommodation was to a very high standard with plenty of room for 4 adults and 3 children under the age of 6. The highlight for us was the close proximity to the beach, a 2 minute walk. We were all pleasantly surprised by the games room; an added bonus for the kids and a must if the weather was bad.

A fantastic spacious bungalow. Would recommend it to anyone. Rhosneigr is a lovely village with good places to eat and an ice cream parlour which was our favourite.

A super location, sea view, short walk to a great sandy beach. The weather was fantastic. The cottage was clean, warm with ample accommodation - 4 double bedrooms, large sitting, good sized kitchen/dining area and a games room in the garage.

The house was in a beautiful position and it was a lovely house, well proportioned, but cosy and homely.

The layout was excellent, a large holiday home which caters for all age groups. The garage housed a pool table, football table and darts board. There were games and toys for younger children.

A great family holiday property, even has lots of indoor play space for children, without being in danger of breaking things. Three big settees in lounge meant comfy seating for all. We were three generations, Mum, Dad, two grandparents and two children aged six and three and we all had a great holiday. There is a lovely outdoor space and as it surrounds the property you can sit out and follow the sun. Pili Palas great day out for a cloudy day and the cafeteria provided nice food with good prices.

There's plenty of space in this rental, the place has obviously been well used and that is reflected in the state of the property, it is care worn and needs a little TLC. Only 2 minutes from the beach, excellent for walkers or families who want to exploit this wonderful place, the sand is perfect. There were 7 of us and although the outside space is different to what is advertised we were able to enjoy the facilities provided.

Rivendale is a light, spacious, warm and comfortable house with great access to the beach. We could see that the owners had put a lot of thought and effort into the appearance of the house.

The property was ideally located for what we wanted to do. There were 6 of us but we didn't feel on top of each other. We were given a very warm welcome and had a very relaxing holiday.

The four generations of our family here to celebrate a 65th birthday had a lovely holiday at Rivendell. Our grandchildren loved the direct access to the beach and we all enjoyed the excellent location. Evenings were spent making use of the pool table table football with various competitions that brought the child out in all of us. To the families that follow us enjoy what Rivendell has to offer and have a great holiday, we did.

The location was fantastic. We didn't need to pack up and drive to a beach. The beach was perfect for a family holiday, rock pools, a river and brilliant waves. Great restaurants and cafes in the village with friendly staff. The games room was a real bonus. The owners had left toys, buckets and spades etc which the kids loved.

The four generations of our family, here to celebrate a 65th birthday, had a lovely holiday here at Rivendell. Our grandchildren thought the direct access to the beach was great, allowing them to enjoy swiming, surfing and flying kites. Rivendells location provides very good holiday accomodation with stunning views and amazing sunsets just the right mix for a great family holiday. To the familys that follow us have a super holiday, we did!

Nice spacious place, which had every amenity you could possibly need. We had 3 grandchildren, my daughter and her partner, my son and 2 of his friends in there 20's and my husband and myself stayed there. The place was big enough for us all to have sufficient space to be on you own if you wanted, with several rooms to go to or we could all congregate in the large lounge or kitchen. Rivendell also offers an ideal base for visiting many of the wonderful area's around anglesey. It was clean, up-dated and would go there again. I would recommend anyone to stay at Rivendell, you wouldn't be disappointed.

This property was the best equipped holiday home that we have stayed in, in over 40 yrs experience. There was every facility that you could need, from the television and DVD player, the snooker, football and table tennis table, to the board games. All the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, and the dining facilities were also very good. The property was ideally situated, with access to Rhosneigr beach only minutes walk away. Great views from the rooms overlooking the beach and the sea. All the family were very relaxed, including our young grand-children, and the property complimented the holiday itself, and was an ideal base for access to all parts of the island. Very highly recommended - many thanks to the owners for a very warm welcome.

This accommodation is fabulous!! Located on the sand dunes with easy access to the beach, and with stunnding views from the living room, kitchen, one bedroom and the balcony. We stayed there with another family and the property was easily spacious enough for everyone to have their own space. The amenities were excellent with fitted kitchen, comforatable living room and games room. As the accommodation was all on one level, it was great when travelling with small children
