Ironbridge is a lovely place and we would definitely return in the future. In particular the antiques shops and the Merrythought Teddybear factory and shop were very interesting. Great walks, if not a bit muddy at this time of year.

The garden was quirky as were the artefacts around the cottage.

All the bedrooms were of a good size and the kitchen was particularly well equipped. The terraced garden was lovely with a variety of seating areas. I can imagine in the summer it would be a treat to sit out.

A fantastic property in a great location in Ironbridge itself. Fishing at the bottom of the garden is good. Overall it was a great place to stay and there was lots to do in and around the town, with plenty of excellent places to eat.

We liked everything about Riverside Cottage. The garden is very quirky and lovely to sit in after a day out. This is our second visit and hopefully not our last.

We loved the view from the back of the house down the garden to the river and the eclectic collection of garden ornaments. The local pubs and take aways were very nice and everybody was very friendly.

The house was very comfortable and furnished extremely well with lots of unusual items. Plenty of space for our party of six. Ideally located for the town, pubs and restaurants. The garden was excellent and the gazebo was brilliant for sitting in with a glass of wine in the evenings.

The location of the property was excellent and the garden was out of this world. Would have gladly stayed at the cottage and not gone out but there is so much to see in the area.

The house was more than we expected it was so well equipped and all good quality. The garden was so beautiful some days you didn't want to leave but with places to visit we had to.

One word to describe the cottage and garden would be PERFECT.

We loved the mattresses on the beds, by far the best we have slept on any holiday. The location was also fantastic but the best thing was the views of the rear garden it was amazing and we didn't want to go home.

This is a lovely house in a beautiful setting by the river Severn , located centrally in the lovely town of Ironbridge. However, I do feel that there are a number of safety issues in the property, internally there are steps to different levels, plus a narrow and very steep open step stairs. Externally you have a steep garden, with steps of various levels and some without any handrails. So if you have mobility problems this is probably not the accommodation for you. Plus if you have young children or dogs there is nowhere in the garden that is enclosed, which means whenever they are outside there us a danger of them falling down steps or getting to the very fast moving river. It would be better if the top patio could be closed off . Just to say on the listing that they have to be supervised all the time is not sufficient . I would not recommend this property at present, if the safety issues are resolved then it would be an ideal place to spend sometime relaxing time.

I said cottage as that's what it was called but its a large house, right in the heart of Ironbridge, just a very short walk to the end of the street and your at the shops, bars and restaurants. About 10 mins. drive to blitz museum and all the other museums are the same distance or less. The cottage is very well maintained, comfortable and the garden is a one off, its in layers, all with sitting areas, a swinging chair on two levels and a gazebo look at the river. You can fish from the bottom of the garden into the river Severn. Will definitely return to this property and recommended to all our friends

We stayed in this lovely house at the end of November with friends. Two of them were visiting from Australia so we had our Christmas early. The dining room was perfect for your old fashioned Christmas. The living area was beautiful with plenty of seating and the kitchen had everything you need. I have never stayed in a cottage that had so many cooking utensils. Even had a wine fridge! The view from the patio of the garden is beautiful even in winter. The bathroom is great with jacuzzi bath. There are mirrors everywhere! Bedrooms, bathrooms even in the kitchen. It is very convenient for the town of Ironbridge, literally two minutes walk and there is a brilliant shopping centre 10 minutes drive away in Telford. The fishing was not that good though. Three men caught 2 fish in 3 days. They are all fisherman too so all the excuses came out! They went down river but still no action. Still you can't have everything. We all enjoyed the weekend and would definitely recommend the cottage.
