Robin's Nest is a delightful first floor apartment located in a beautiful rural setting in Strefford, two miles from Craven Arms in the Heart of England. With one cosy super king-size double bedroom, that can be converted into a twin, with access to an en-suite bathroom, this self-catering apartment can sleep two people. The rest of the apartment is made up of a kitchen, and a sitting room with dining area. To the outside of the apartment there is a balcony with furniture and outstanding views towards the Long Mynd Hills, plus a patio garden with furniture and a barbecue, and off road parking for two cars. Robin's Nest is a lovely self-catering apartment, ideal for any couple looking for a romantic getaway in the beautiful Shropshire countryside.

Area
The small market town of Craven Arms, known as The Gateway to the Marches is conveniently located between the beautiful medieval town of Ludlow and delightful Church Stretton. Craven Arms is an ideal base, which nestles close to the scenic Wenlock Edge and Corvedale Valley with fine walks from the town to lovely Stokesay Castle, one of England's finest fortified manors, or the very popular Shropshire Hill Discovery Centre. The town also has some charming and historic houses, including a round house, thought to be a recognisable rest house for pilgrims travelling between Wigmore and Shrewsbury Abbeys and the fascinating 'Museum of Lost Content'. Just two miles away in the village of Wistanstow is the Plough Inn, a good local wood brewery. ChurchStretton is close by and nestles between the Long Mynd and Caradoc Hills, renowned for their scenic walks and excellent golf course. The historic towns of Bishops Castle, Ludlow and Shrewsbury are a short drive away, and offer magnificent castles, riverside walks, wonderful shops, pubs, restaurants, exciting theatres and a variety of festivals. This is a perfect base for touring all of beautiful Shropshire at any time of the year.

A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was "the quietest place under the sun" and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.

Robin's Nest was lovely and warm, and the bed sumptuous! Everything to hand and the area was beautiful, with plentiful walks to suit all ages, and we would love to visit again sometime. All the local people that we met were very friendly and helpful.

We thought it was very good value for money and had a lovely comfortable stay, the cottage was well cared for and thoughtfully well provided for guests. There was a welcome tea tray with a jug of milk and biscuits on our arrival. The owner was on hand if we had any problems, but there were none. The utility room is well equipped for guests' use. We brought our mattress topper but it was not needed as the zip link bed already had a super king size topper on it! This meant we slept very well and woke refreshed ready for another day of walking and exploring Ludlow, the Long Mynd and surrounding area. We can't wait to go back.
