The cottage is close to the beautiful coastal path, and the walk to the beach is scenic and enjoyable. We also loved the Old Schoolhouse cafe with its home-made cakes. The cottage itself was spacious, even though it looked small from the outside.

Local Postoffice does just about everything you can forget - it worked for me. Remember your in Scotland - dont ask for COD! The house is a fishermans place done up to modern standards - very nicely - fridge/freezer tv has been updated to flat screen. Bring a non stick pan with you! If you like scuba this is the dogs - local walks are 'invigourating - the trip to the lighthouse should not be taken lightly (nor should you take a bike - I did.!!)

The cottage was lovely. It is furnished to a very high standard and was very comfortable. There is a superb view of the harbour and the sea just a very short walk away. St. Abbs is a little gem, with a small shop and two great cafes. Early morning walks round the small harbour were a delight. There are lovely coastal walks, especially on St. Abb's Head.

We really enjoyed our stay in this comfortable, well-equipped cottage. Our children particularly liked playing hide and seek in the cottage too. There are lovely coastal walks, a good beach and excellent cafe nearby. The only slight niggles were that the shower screen leaked, so we had to mop up after each shower, and the hot tap in the kitchen didn't work (the owner said they had called a plumber but none appeared in 7 days), so we had to wash up in the utility room. Nb the dining table looked too small on the website, but actually expands to twice the surface area.
