Rose Valley Cottage is a delightful, detached and whitewashed stone cottage situated in the grounds of Dunvegan Castle on the Isle of Skye. There is also a well-equipped kitchen, a dining room, and a sitting room with an electric fire. Outside, there is ample off road parking, an open aspect front garden and a large enclosed rear garden with furniture. Rose Valley Cottage is a wonderful base for friends and families exploring the Isle of Skye and all it has to offer.

Dunvegan is a village on the Isle of Skye, home to some shops and hotels and Dunvegan Castle, about a mile out of the village, home to the Clan Macleod. Great location. Everything you needed was provided. Lovely cottage very cosy. Try the old school house restaurant while you are there. For a special night lochbay seafood restaurant at stein well worth the trip with a lovely dark sky for star gazing from the jetty afterwards.

We stayed for a week and our first shock was there is no internet access at the property. You can sit in your car outside the cafe along the road and log in but it's not exactly convenient. So plan all your trips before arriving as you can't do it when you are there. TV only reliably works on BBC1 and ITV. It says that its in the grounds of Dunvegan Castle which is not the full truth - it's on land owned by Dunvegan Castle but you can only gain access to the gardens when the castle is open 10-5pm. Overall the cottage itself is nicely decorated, clean and warm.
