Roselea Pet-Friendly Cottage description

Holiday home
Roselea is a charming terraced cottage superbly located in the fishing village of Eyemouth on Berwickshire's dramatic coast and can sleep eight people. This cottage is set over three floors and has two first floor double bedrooms, one second floor king-size double bedroom, one second floor twin bedroom, a ground floor bathroom, a first floor shower room, a kitchen with dining area, a sitting room with an open fire and a games room with an Xbox 360. Outside there is roadside parking in front of the property, lockable bike storage and an enclosed courtyard garden with a decked area, furniture and a barbecue. Roselea is a fantastic base from which to explore this lovely area.

The bustling fishing port of Eyemouth is set just over the Scottish border, eight miles north of the historic walled town of Berwick-upon-Tweed. Eyemouth still has a fish market supplied from local fishing boats, narrow cobbled streets preserve the ancient character of this delightful coastal town, and there are a number of visitor attractions outlining the history of the area, including its smuggling past. A cliff-top golf course in the town and a number of other courses in the area mean the town is an ideal golfing retreat. When your game is over, why not enjoy the walking, cycling, bird watching, castles or country houses all within a short driving distance. Both Edinburgh and Newcastle upon Tyne are reached in an hour, making Eyemouth a wonderful base for touring South Scotland, and the North of England.

From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain's best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.

Gas central heating with open fire. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD, Xbox 360, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. The town was very nice; not commercialised. The harbour and beach very nice too. The house is in good location.

The location was excellent, both the cottage and the town. People were very friendly and welcoming. Lots of things to do in the area, lovely beaches especially Coldingham very suitable for young children. Our 10 year old enjoyed crabbing and fishing at various places.

The house is in a good location and was a perfect size for our party. Beds were comfortable. The house provided a perfect base for exploring Eyemouth and the surrounding area. Location is great for short walk to Harbour, beach and shops.

The house was very homely and comfortable, with plenty of space which could easily accommodate a large group, and was centrally situated in the town of Eyemouth. It was also convenient for other places of interest such as Dunbar, North Berwick, and Berwick on Tweed.

Roselea is a very comfortable, clean and well equipped property. Eyemouth is a pretty fishing village with a lovely beach and good local shops. It is an ideal place to explore the Borders and Northumbria. We had a wonderful holiday and would happily recommend the property to everyone.

We stayed here for 1 week so we could tour the border region during the day time, eat out at night and have a comfortable place to relax and sleep. There was ample space outside for parking. The kitchen was well appointed, but underused in our case and there was a courtyard at the back with outdoor table/seating. All the rooms were clean and well equipped. Two of the bedrooms were on the third floor, so the kids were "encouraged" to have these. Eyemouth itself has plenty to see and do and lots of choices for eating out.
