Wonderful views; quiet location; excellent hosts; well-provided with maps and trail guides; kitchen with plenty of crockery and utensils; good laundry room; beautiful hikes (ready and challenging) directly from property; great pub less than a minute away.

Having the owners live next door was handy. The cottage was very roomy and spacious and felt very homely. A bonus being next door to the local pub too.

The owners were extremely welcoming, they were most attentive and pleasant. The utility room was a great feature, and also the fact that there was a pub next door was an added bonus. Thus the cottage was a winner. Well done!

It was such comfortable accommodation in stunning scenery. It was ideal for our family to get together for my 70th birthday which we celebrated at the pub next door.

Brilliant surroundings and lovely views from the house across the valley of the River Duddon. We really enjoyed being about to enjoy lots of walks straight from the door - great!

Excellent location and a very warm house as the living area is upstairs. The owners are very helpful and only next door if they are needed. Excellent facilities, with a separate washer and dryer in the utility room; perfect for families, walkers and cyclists (on and off road). Pub a few doors away, with local food and ales, no noise audible from the cottage. Good walks and cycle rides from the doorstep.

The Cottage is set in a wonderful part of the most beautiful area of the country, with great views from inside and outside. The owners are very friendly and available if needed. All the rooms are a good size and well equipped with lots of readily available hot water for baths etc. There was superb access to great hill and river walks from the door.
