We absolutely loved our stay at the cottage. Staffin is a great location and within easy reaching distance of the rest of the island, so a perfect base for exploring Skye. Slioch was very comfortable and cosy.

The cottage has a stunning view of the bay and we saw many sea birds, but also dolphins and and minke whale. Glasphein is so peaceful and tranquil and the people were all friendly. The scenery is absolutely beautiful, made even more so by the constantly changing light and weather. We lit a real fire every night making the cottage homely, drinking a glass of wine and watching a DVD. Our Labrador loved the beach and other hill walks. We loved it all so much we would buy the cottage if it was for sale!

Lovely little cottage! Very clean and tastefully furnished. Stunning view of the bay from all rooms. Very close to the beach and sights, so there is a lot you can do during the day without driving too far. We enjoyed the fireplace in the cosy living room every evening and had a wonderful week. The owner is quite nice and helpful and could be contacted by phone every time.

The location of the cottage is first class. It is within a 15 minute walk of the local shop, and the views over the bay and out to sea are lovely. We liked the peace and tranquillity of the Island.

What an amazing cottage, when we arrived we just sat outside admiring the brilliant view of the bay and the mountains in the background. The cottage is lovely with all the amenities you would expect plus very comfortable and light with stunning views from every room. There are local shops close by so everything is catered for.We had lovely walks in the mountains and we met a few of the locals who were very helpful and chatty, one holiday we really were pleased we went on 10/10

We had never visited the Isle of Skye, so were more than pleased when I booked a holiday week. We broke the 430 mile journey from Yorkshire by way of a b and b 15 miles or so west of Glasgow, thus enabling us to travel though the Highlands in day light hours. The Cottage is enchanting, very 'tardis' like, clean tidy and nicely decorated with a nice modern kitchen, lounge, and bathroom on the ground floor and three bedrooms upstairs. On our arrival the weather was still lovely and sunny so we were able to sit outside, in the garden, which overlooked the sea and stoney beach. The sound of the water lapping onto the beach, from our view up on the hill side, as we sipped our respective glasses of wine, was fantastic. Peace and tranquillity ruled. No need to light the coal and log burning fire in the lounge, a small electric fire was adequate when needed at night. The foot thick stone walls kept out any noise from the outside world. Lots of off road walks available near-by, and a local shop, only 5 mins drive can provide most requirements. The local Community Hall, 10 mins by car, provides a good selection of snacks and drinks, which was ideal as we returned from some of our walks. (Our biggest regret was the fact we didn't own this lovely cottage). A lovely scenic Island, and a beautiful old Cottage. What a fantastic week we had. Bev, Fraser, and Harvey our Lab. He loved it as well.
