A very nice and comfortable Lodge with very comfy super king size bed and excellent hot tub facilities. The owner could not be more helpful, we were made very welcome. It is 7 miles or so from Whitby, so really a great location for exploring, nice walks, very friendly local pub and superb food. Overall, I would recommend St.Hilda's Lodge to anyone, and the guest book speaks for itself - excellent feedback.

Had a warm welcome from the owners - we stayed with them two years previously. Our daughter loved the animals on the farm and the very fresh eggs! The hot tub is a real treat at the end of a long day walking or on the beach. Having two bathrooms is great as it really cuts down getting ready time.

Great place to stay. Comfortable and cosy. High specification fittings. Friendly owners. Some lovely views on a clear day. Hot tub is a must, and is not overlooked. Great location for cliff top walks to Staithes, and Runswick Bay, and a 15 minute drive to Whitby. Would recommend to a friend. If stopping here we would also recommend the Brown Cow Inn for a great, personal service, good beer and excellent pub food!

The hot tub and the decking with barbeque meant we didn't have to travel far to enjoy the sunshine. Being close to a working farm was perfect for our one year old who loved collecting the eggs every day and talking to all of the animals! The owners were very helpful and attentive, keen to make sure that everything was OK but without pestering us on our holiday - they were great!

Easy on-line booking service. the property itself was beautiful. all mod cons and furnished to an extremely high standard.on a working farm, which wasn't noisy and all the eggs we could eat. a great base for exploring Yorkshire with a couple of pubs and a bistro within walking distance. I'd recommend it to anyone and the only downside was that we couldn't stay longer. will definitely be booking again!!

We had a lovely week at St Hildas Lodge which is on a small quiet site of static caravans. The owners are very friendly & were keen to make our stay as pleasant as possible. To collect eggs for breakfast was an added bonus. The cabin is very modern & home from home, though a wardrobe in the twin bedroom would help as anyone in there has to share wardrobe space in the master bedroom. Large shower in en suite & plenty of hot water. Central for touring area. Thanks to Dave, Linda & Terry for a wonderful week & hope to be back soon.

The lodge itself is a lovely building but it needs a complete deep clean. It is tired and shabby. There are many light bulbs not working, the chandelier in the main bedroom is absolutely filthy any one with asthma beware I have never seen so much dust. The cupboards are missing handles, doors, broken shelves and the ensuing shower is something else. The are no hooks to hange clothes or towels, the the toilet roll holders fall off the wall but the worst was the shower head was partially clogged with limescale, the pipe leading to the shower head was covered in dust and the metal shampoo /soap holder is absolutely filtly with black rust. It really is horrible and because of this I opted to have baths. The blind in the bathroom does not pull down and if you try the window frame is loose. The plug does not fit and to stop the water running away I had to keep my foot on it, but then to empty I had to lever it out with a spoon. The floors in both shower and bathroom were dirty. The general floor in the lodge needed to be polished as the vanish had worn off. There is a purple rug as you enter the cabin and again this was muddy. I know it is meant to be a working farm but at least start with a clean rug. The high bar stool is broken but this is not apparent until you go to sit on it. We could not get any internet although it is offered, when logging on the message shows as no signal. There was not a welcome pack, we had not idea where doctors, buses, take aways etc were and we couldn't google them because no internet! I feel for the amount we paid and at the beginning of season the standard of the lodge is well below par. It is a shame because it is in a beautiful area but even that cannot make up for the condition if the place. I hate writing bad reviews but sometimes needs must

We arrived when it raining heavily, we thought that would be a taste of things to come but we were pleasantly surprised, we had really good weather. The farm was great and Dave the owner was so helpful and friendly. We were so comfortable in the lodge, a few things are needed that would make it even better, the foliage around the lodge needs to be cut back on the left hand side to let in some light and maybe the area where the hot tub is could be made more inviting. There is no wardrobe in the twin bedroom so is not really adequate for adults but all the beds were so comfortable we did not want to get up in the morning, also the bathrooms need towel rails and toilet roll holders, these are just small things that did nothing to spoil our holiday we would do it all again, some lovely animals with plenty of freedom and collecting our own eggs was the highlight. We were dissappointed that after reading the rules for the hot tub we were not allowed to use it as between the four of us we had too many of the illnesses, ( heart conditions, diabetics and high blood pressure, well we are all older people.) Every where we went people were so friendly and we found ourselves chatting to strangers like we were old friends. Thank you Yorkshire for making us so welcome. If you want comfort and cleanliness you cannot go wrong with this Holiday Lodge.

very disappointed with this lodge, the photos on web site or not a good representation of the lodge, the suite. table and chairs and stools are not the same as photos the whole place is in need of a good clean and makeover there was door handles missing light bulbs not working the bbq was filthy and the area around the hot tub is drab and in need of a good tidy up. There was electric cables along the front of lodge that were tied to nails with string and a cable lying on ground from the lodge to the next caravan

We arrived after a 6 hour journey only to find that the owner was not expecting us! The accommodation was dirty, and just as the previous tenants had left it. Fresh bed linen and towels were provided but there was no attempt to clean the lodge at all. The second bedroom was very poor, the curtains did not cover the whole of the window so we were woken early by daylight. We lived out of a suitcase for the entire week as there was not a wardrobe in the small bedroom. Luckily we had taken some cleaning materials with us as none were provided. In the house bathroom there was no blind at the window, basic things like loo brushes were not supplied. We had to wash crockery and glasses before we could even use them. Outside there was a glass table which was filthy and the chairs did not fare much better. The barbeque was unusable as it was rusty and unhygienic. Overall, don't bother. Totally over-rated and expensive.

The lodge was very nice, clean and a very good size. We had a fab holiday with our family. The local pub food was good. The owner was very helpful. Our granddaughters thoroughly enjoyed visiting the animals and collecting eggs and didn't want to go home. The area is fabulous to see especially Runswick Bay. The cliff top walks were very scenic. The shopping in Whitby is excellent. We would love to live here.
