A lovely character cottage in a very peaceful location. Good location for driving to quiet beaches, heathland and forest walks which we and the dogs all loved.

A lovely character cottage in beautiful surroundings, very peaceful. Dogs loved the enclosed garden and appreciated the cool tiled floors during our stay as the weather was hot and sunny. Comfortable rooms fully equipped and owners quickly on hand to meet our requirements. Overall, a lovely relaxing break and would recommend a stay at this delightful cottage to anyone.

The cottage was comfortable and ideally situated in a peaceful location with easy access to lots of different attractions. Good for dog walks right from the front door, and plenty of parking.

The garden was enclosed for the dogs which was fantastic for them. The cottage was very clean, warm and had constant hot water, heating and WiFi. The TV was a good size. We would definitely like to return and would recommend. The character of the cottage was lovely. There's plenty to do within a 20-30min drive. It was very peaceful with lovely wildlife.

It was very quiet and there were good walks from the door. The cottage did have plenty of old county cottage character.

A peaceful, serene setting and wonderful countryside right outside your doorstep! The wonderful, cute, quaint cottage, which was just perfect for all the family, made it hard for us to leave it in order to explore our surroundings! From the master bedroom in particular, the views were just picture postcard - and we did not have to even get out of bed to see them! Everything was just perfect, a very peaceful, enjoyable week.

The cottage was in a lovely place, with lots of interesting places within easy reach . It was very clean, comfortable, peaceful, quiet, warm and relaxing. The interior of the cottage with all it's beams and layout was brilliant as we really like old fashioned styles like this. We were impressed with the large bedroom, the best we have slept in. The owners of the cottage were very nice and helpful and we appreciated the bottle of wine and biscuits they gave us. We would highly recommend it to anybody, and hope to stay again. Thank you for a very pleasant stay at their cottage.

The location was perfect. Our cottage delightful especially the log burning stove. Very cosy indeed. It was spotlessly clean. The owners who lived next door could not have been more helpful if and when required.

Friendly and welcoming owners and a really quiet, peaceful location. Garden ideal for dogs, very comfortable and relaxing. Smart and clean but not so formal that we felt worried about living in it. Just what we needed!

The cottage is in very good order. The cottage is situated in a very quiet part of the countryside with reasonable access to pubs, towns and the coast.

Very disappointed with this place. The 'Garden' is disgraceful. Cracked concrete with weeds, & a small grassed area - all very messy. Massive overgrown bramble hedges make it very shady. BBQ filthy and no grill. Not an area we would want to use at all. Not the "delightful garden" as described in the Sykes website, and we're pretty sure there was a photograph on the website of the garden next door. Not there now though. Bed linen is old, thin & bobbly. Very uncomfortable. Sheets are badly fitting, & are all either too big or too small for the mattresses & duvets. There were black dog hairs on one of the duvet covers, and even hairs on the sheet when I pulled back the duvet. The toilet had not been properly cleaned. And as for the state of the toilet brush... Completely caked in faeces (and I do mean completely). The bathroom reeked. Main Shelf missing from fridge door. Sofa very old and sagging. cushions again very old. All need updating. No hairdryer. We emailed Sykes on the Saturday and again on Sunday, it's now Wednesday and still no response. Very disappointed.

The family live next door and are friendly and welcoming. We loved the quietness and comfort of the cottage. It was dog friendly which was a bonus for us, with a garden where the dogs could go out at night and first thing. Pretty villages and lots of walking nearby. Just what we wanted - a relaxed, comfortable stay.

Fantastic location, very peaceful. Cottage very homely with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Loved all the period features of the beams everywhere and wonky floors. Owners easily on hand if needed and quick to fulfil any request. Very dog friendly (we took our 3 small dogs!). Ideal for families with pets and small children and would recommend. Lots of lovely places to visit a short car journey away.

this was an ideal cottage for a restful holiday with the family and three dogs, plenty of places to walk yoiur dog has a enclosed back garden which is ideal last thing at night or first thing in the morning,Once you remember the low doorways and the beam in the lounge/dining room area(we placed a reminder towel)you have a log burner which there is a starter pack provided but you will need a few bags depending on what time of the year you stay.the kitchen is modern with all you need, the stairs have gates top and bottom. The stairs do need some care as they are open tread but the cottage is a grade two listed building.Plenty of parking space there where four cars when we stayed as St Michaels farm house is ajoining this property ,the only thing we could not find was a cloths line in the back garden one of those retractable ones would be ideal.other wise enjoyed our week stay there a pub not far away plus St Peters brewery just a mile away so theres plenty of scope of either stay in or visit the local

This was a lovely house; cosy and nicely furnished. Very comfortable beds. The bad weather did not stop us having a great weekend. The owners were really nice, being helpful without being intrusive. Some great villages nearby with good 'olde english -style' pubs - and very nice food. Near to lovely countryside, and lots of places to visit. We would like to come back.
