A lovely base to use to tour around Cornwell and it was a pleasant place to come back to after busy days out. The property was in excellent condition. We were a family that included a toddler and a grandparent, and found the property to suit all needs.

Station View was a lovely, quiet, homely cottage very near Eden. We have used Sykes Cottages for the last couple of years and have found their properties excellent. Very clean and very affordable compared with other companies. The owners of Station View were extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely return again soon!

The station view is a lovely property, and as the information file says 'an old cottage with quirks' The advertisement states two bathrooms, which is stretching the truth a little, as actually there is a washroom with bath, shower and wash basin, then a separate toilet (with no hand washing facilities). So not really two bathrooms! I think the 'Quirks' refer to the heating system, which except of the downstairs electric fires, you have absolutely no control over. The radiators come on very early in the morning, but by early evening are cold. With no way of switching them on or off. So the house is very warm in the morning and very cold at night. The only thing that pumps out heat constantly is the old arguer in the kitchen which becomes quite unbearable forcing you to have all the kitchen windows open, day and night even at the end of November! Except for that this is a very nice property, clean comfortable and well presented. One thing i must warn.... beware of the road (lane) leading to this house which is only a dirt track road with huge pot holes. Our car was damaged driving up to the house on arrival, when it plunged into a pot hole and scratched all the front bumper. Because of the state of this road it makes negotiating the drive an art, that you only master with practice!
