We loved the cosy feel of the cottage. An enclosed garden means it is safe for little ones. Five minute walk to the beach and pub and a good kids playpark. The weather was good to us and we were able to enjoy beach combing and being outside all day. We would recommend and hope to return to the area in the summer.

We had a wonderful time, the cottage is tiny but perfect for 2 adults and 2 small children. The location is really good, the cottage didn't lack anything and the caretaker was very thoughtful.

The cottage is the most comfortable we have ever stayed in. The bed was very comfortable, just wonderful. The location fantastic, didn't have to drive to get to beach.

It was another exceptional cottage with everything we needed for a stress free holiday. The bed was more than comfy as was the seating in the lounge. We had a lovely working hot shower, and heating if we needed it. A well equipped kitchen, and the radio was a plus! Had a lovely garden to sit in, with superb views. A local shop, (and fish and chips) and the beach were just a few minutes away. It was all just perfect for us and our dog, as was the weather. The cottage was such a pleasure to come back to after being out all day exploring this lovely part of the country, with its stunning scenery, exciting and interesting attractions and beautiful beaches.

The cottage is in a great location for exploring the local area. The garden was truly fully enclosed. The house was also very tidy and clean. We had some fantastic walks out to beaches and woodlands, and Sunset Cottage was a lovely little warm cottage to return to afterwards.

We loved the location which is a minute from the beach and we loved overlooking the sand dunes and horses in the field behind. The little house was smashing and owner kindly provided cot and high chair and kids bowls and spoons.

The house was warm, completely secure against the storm the whole country experienced whilst we were there and thoughtfully decorated. The beach is a wonder and parking easy and cheap with a handy hot food cabin. The view over fields with horses and on one memorable morning puffins.

We absolutely loved Sunset Cottage. It was light and airy, tastefully decorated and was very comfortable and cosy, and had everything in it that we needed to make it a stress free holiday. Off road parking is always a must for us, and the pretty enclosed garden for our dog Cindy was a real bonus as we didn't have to worry about her if we let her out, and it was lovely to watch the birds coming and going....and the horses and sheep in the field behind. A lovely hot shower, comfy bed, and comfy seating in the lounge, we couldn't wish for more. I loved the Patricia Cornwell novels,(my favourite author),and read two of her books. I also managed to complete the Cadbury jigsaw, (another one of my favourite past times!!) The village is so peaceful, and we had lots of walks in and around it. I loved having a radio to listen to whilst getting ready for our day trips out. Having the local beach just a few minutes away, the shop, and the fish and chip shop too. It is definitely one of the best cottages we've stayed in. A wonderful location, stunning scenery, and lots of places to visit within easy reach. The cottage always felt so lovely and welcoming to get back to after our days out, and being able to relax on the lovely reclining sofas and to put our feet up, is what a holiday is all about. We loved it so much we didn't want to go home!!!

We had a lovely week at Sunset Cottage. The dogs loved the fully enclosed garden and the nearby beaches. When the tide is out, Beadnell beach stretches for miles! The cottage is small but fine for me, my husband and our two spaniels. We found everything we needed in the cottage with comfortable sofas and beds. The cottage is ideally located for visits to lical attractions yet is quietly tucked away. I would definitely recommend Sunset Cittage.

Small semi about 10 mins walk from beach. Excellent base for the two of us and out two English Setters. Perfect for daily long walks, a good one to Seahouses and another longer one to Long Newton. Both easy walking and can be done on beach and dunes if tide out. Good facilities, clean and well maintained. Heating very efficient, bed comfy and clean. Lovely back garden safely enclosed and perfect for the dogs to enjoy a play. Craster Arms very good base for a drink or food, dog friendly.......look for church spire and head to it to find the two local pubs/restaurant. Post office open daily 8-1 in winter, longer hours in warmer weather. Plenty of choice for the odd meal but not for full week, good for 'topping up'. Fish shop closed for winter season. We had a lovely few days and enjoyed the area.

This was one of the best holidays that we have had. The house was very well equipped and ideal for the dogs. Within walking distance of the beach and other walks in the area. Even in November there is plenty to see and do. We would come back again. Thank you.

This was our first experience through Sykes and everything was in place before our holiday even began. A comfortable, clean, well appointed house in a fantastic location to explore the North East coast. Three adults and one child had a great time.

We booked the cottage for our annual girls week away dog walking and chilling. The cosy cottage close to the beautiful beaches made for an enjoyable stay despite the weather. The cottage was clean and well maintained and the owners were easily contactable with our lttle query. For us as we are all adults a dishwasher would have been preferable to a washing machine.

We spent a lovely week at Sunset Cottage, Out initial reason for coming to this area was that we were going to a Christening in Prudhoe. We were very surprised at the beauty of the whole area. We visited the area over twenty years ago when the children were small and things were alot more hectic. The cottage was ideal. Only ten minutes walk from the beautiful sandy beach. Our dog was in heaven. The garden was ideal, fully enclosed, which meant we could let our labrador outside to run in the garden without any worries, which made the holiday more relaxing for us. The cottage was beautilful, with everything we needed. Even though it was September we were blessed with great weather. It will not be twenty years before we return to both this area of the ountry and Sunset Cottage.

This was, as everyone has said, a lovely, clean, well placed cottage but there simply isn't enough room for a family of 4 - 2 adults, 2 children (9+7yrs old) - plus 2 dogs which the cottage details say there should be. There's nowhere to put that number of wet coats or walking boots, for starters, (we went in October), or your binoculars and bird books (it is a great birdwatching area), furniture had constantly to be rearranged to accommodate whatever we were doing and the dining table had to be got out and put back every time we ate - this is a self catering cottage after all so we expected to self cater. No storage in kids' room, even trouble opening and shutting their bedroom door it was so tight for space. For 2 adults, with or without dogs, it would be great. For 2 adults and a child or 2 children and an adult, without dogs, it would probably be great. If you wanted to stay there, as a family, only cater for breakfast and eat out every lunch and evening, and bring very little with you, it would, possibly, be great. But when it's full to capacity with 2 adults, 2 children, 2 dogs AND your holiday luggage/pastime equipment (and it's hardly like we were surfers or anything, nothing big and bulky!) it isn't, I'm afraid. Lovely place just don't take the maximum number of people and pets if you want to relax. I've given it a poor, instead of an average, because of this - it should be able to fit comfortably the number of people/pets it says it does, not just be a nice place for fewer folk/furry friends. Fantastic area, though, which we visit over and over again!

Good location, advertised to accommodate 4, but with one adult and two children there was not enough room. Needs full length mirror and a wall clock. No storage in the kids room because it was so small.
