Being out in the country side was my favourite part of all. The beds were cosy and it was a roomy cottage with a garden and parking. If I ever get back to England I would definitely want to go back to the Swallow Cottage.

We had an absolutely brilliant stay in the cottage, coupled with some horse-riding at the associated Quob stables. Really could not have been better. The kids ( me) absolutely LOVED the wood burner, it gave such a cosy warm feel to the cottage. Thank you for a fabulous stay!

We had a lovely stay in Swallow Cottage. It is in a very peaceful location and the cottage was extremely comfortable, including the beds. It was well located for visiting scenic spots in Hampshire with easy access to the M27 for Portsmouth and other areas.

Great cottage set in a peaceful countryside location that's still within easy reach of a superstore to stock up on provisions! Was an ideal base for visiting a range of attractions with our 4 and 7 yr old in the New Forest, Southampton Portsmouth including Marwell Zoo, cycling in the New Forest, Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, an afternoon cinema visit, Bere Forest adventure playground and shopping in West Quay and Gunwharf Quays.

A lovely comfortable cottage and the location was ideal for easy access to local attractions, whilst still being in the peaceful village setting. Our granddaughter loved the horses in the stables opposite and the cupcakes left for us on arrival were lovely!

There was plenty of room for our three family members in a lovely peaceful location, and we were impressed that it was a relatively modern cottage. Though we aren't horse people, it was a nice novelty being close to the stables.

Had a great time staying at a Swallow Cottage. Loads of room. Equipped with everything we needed and all looks quite new. Even had the added bonus of wifi. Great location to explore Portsmouth and The New Forest. Nice pub nearby called The Farmers Home, ate there a couple of times.

We recently stayed at Swallow Cottage as it was a convenient base to visit nearby family and friends. We found the cottage clean and comfortable with pretty much everything we needed for basic holiday accommodation. The owners thoughtfully welcomed us with a pint of milk in the fridge and a delicious home-made lemon drizzle cake. The main room, while not luxurious, was comfortable with the added bonus of a wood-burning stove (although if you haven't had experience with one of these beasts before you may want to get some tips as to how to tame it before you get there!). The kitchen provided everything needed to prepare simple meals. The bedroom was spacious and the bed really comfortable. The shower room was clean and compact (although I have to say that I found the loo seat really uncomfortable!). One tip I would give to all hair-dryer users is to bring an extension cable with you as there are no power points in the vicinity of any of the mirrors. I used mine by plugging an extension lead into the socket in the hall near the bedroom door. For those who like to have Wi-Fi the cottage is equipped with its own router and secure network. It does have a habit of stopping working at times. although most of the time its fine. (Even my husband who runs a computer repair and support business couldn't beat it into submission, but it would sort itself out after a while.) The cottage is in a very quiet setting and we had no problems with sleeping at night. Shopping is conveniently located a couple of miles away with a large Sainsburys and Marks and Spencers. There are plenty of eating places around, our favourite being The Fishers Pond between Fair Oak and Colden Common, about 10 minutes drive from the cottage. We would certainly be happy to return to Swallow Cottage and are more than likely to do so next year.

We booked this cottage for family visiting from australia for our daughters wedding. They absolutely loved the cottage and the location. The open plan living area worked really well. The access to the motorway for sightseeing days out and also the availability of shops and selection of eateries close by was good. For them the one complaint was no wifi as they were wanting to plan days out etc. this would have been beneficial.

We booked this winter break due to the location, it was an ideal base for the week to visit several places, southhampton, portsmouth & the new forest. We had a 5 month old baby with us and the lay out was perfect, plenty of room and good facilities. The cottage was clean, warm & cosy with all the facilities you needed. A cake on arrival was a nice touch from the owners. Great value for a winter break.
